she always asks matarani for help for everything ans want her to straighten everything and light diya for her thinking matarani will help her and what she do?
she hurts her own children her daughters. For simi nitu and mili manju is their matarnai so she should think of their well being fulfill their dreams, show them right path and hele them with al the obstcles come their way. That is what matarani(god) shows us and we expect that from god and our parents.
when will manju like mothers understand that matarani will not answer her prayers till she is good to her children.
Instead of helping them she is abusing them and creating obstcles in their life .
Despite so much education simi is this way only because of her mother. It is unbelivable she can not even decide smallest thing and has to look to her mom and dad. poor simi!!!!!!.
Parents give children confidence to fight the troubles and obstcles come their way not take away. it was truly a sad episode. the way simi was reacting I felt so sad. I mean their may be some daughters just like simi thanks to their mothers.

Two very good points. If you don't go with the will of God, He won't reward you when you need it. She should wonder why her prayers aren't answered! 🤢

RS did a good job of explaining your second point yet Manju regrettably failed to understand her own child. But then again she had failed to understand her probably as soon as Abhi was born since he is the second child. 😡

Very nice points Raksha no wonder she find it tough for her to take decision ..
Manju is terrible most of the time she oly things abt herself and not so god for her kids who what a ray of light from their parents that I want to take a decision can you be my side if I need anyhelp And some assurance from the parents will go a long way
Simi could'nt get it from her mom and she has always seen her as getting old and not getting married and all those thoughts made simi what she is today

Praying to God alone will ot help Manju guiding and helping her kids is somehow the way god wants her to give her blessing but she does'nt see it that way and s blinded by unwanted worries

I think her fainting spells are her way to blackmail her family to do waht she wants. She is a cruel disgusting heartless woman. Our heart melts looking at poor simi. how can a mother hurt her daughter so much. Simi needs to be brave and walk out from her shadow. Or she will never let simi be happy.

I think Manju-ji is portrayed that way to depict how Indian mothers are partial to their sons over daughters (although it's not really realistic in this day and age!). She seems to only care about Anuj and Anita, looking for their approval in everything. For her she just wants to marry her daughters off since it will clear her "resposibility" of them and she can wash her hands of them. Rajinder-ji on the other hand is shown as how a typically understanding and empathetic father would react to his daughters dilemma's in life. He's concerned about their well being and happiness genuinely. They are two poles apart as a couple... makes for an interesting mix though.
