So ... for those not familiar ... it's 'KB 1/2' because it offends all my aesthetic sensibilities to have an unreduced fraction wander aimlessly (12/24 = 1/2, 2/24=1/12 and so on ...)
Anyhoo ... here's my continuing version of what I (and by extension all my 'disciples' of course đ) wanna see...
The Junior Tanejas (Simi resolutely remains a Sethi ... not that Abhi has any issues with this) - this relationship is the ultimate Rock of Gibraltar even while buffeted by many a corrosive wind and many a turbulent storm (remember Anita ain't exiting the scene). Abhi can continue working for Dagar Enterprises raising it to the status of a huge corporation with a lot of clout. On the personal front, I'd like to see a greatly normal life ... let's start with a Suhaag Raat (in their new D. Enterprises flat) ... at least to the extent of getting our very own Simi out of that damned braid and her hair down (soft lighting etc for added romantic effect) đ. A&S gotta have kids but the first pregnancy results in a miscarriage which is hugely traumatic for Simi and we see the relationship cement even firmer as Abhi - along with Poppa S and Mili - help Simi get back on her feet to emotional health. In the bargain, Simi (in keeping with the rising social standing of her darling hubby) gets involved with social issues and starts by getting onto the board of an orphanage (she and Abhi are going to adopt a child after having one of their own, and like our femme divine Padma and me also adopt a pet from the pound/street) đ. They will not have children as domestic help (unlike Chottu at Sethi & Sons Bridal Wear). During the period where Simi is dealing with the failed pregnancy, Anita, in typical fashion, is going to try and sabotage that relationship and given how we're all already crazy, loony, moony over Abhi, there's no paucity of women who are absolutely panting to get their hands on him (in every conceivable way of course đ) ' so Anita dredges up many a VaaVaaVoom Vampish ex-g'friend who is going to move mountains to break up Simi & Abhi e.g. a random paternity allegation ever so often (he's not going to even be interested in any of them much less give them the time of day but will have to clean up the mess they create) ... on the work front, there's going to be plenty of darts to avoid e.g. as Nakul rises on the political front, many will want Abhi to intervene to curry favor and there's going to be plenty of opportunity for scandal as Nakul is in a position to award Gov't contracts to D.Enterprises (of course the scandals come to naught even tho' Anita is the instigator in some cases). Simi will also be kept busy with Neetu's problems making sure that the '2 murgi 12 ande' vala neer-do-well husband who wants to lead a life to which he would like to grow accustomed (even without the finances of the rich & famous) is kept gainfully employed (here she faces nothing but failure) ... she and Abhi will also pay for Mili to continue her graduate level work in Medicine at Harvard (or Stanford so she can come to sunny Calif. & stop by my pad ever so often) đ...
The Junior Sethis - Anuj does go to work for Poppa T after all (since there is an irreconcilable rift between the T Sr.s and the T Jr.s) and does a pretty decent job - because we need competition between D.Enterprises headed by Abhi and T. Enterprises where Anuj is CEO. Anita never rises to anything beyond your every-day-run-of-the-mill-vanilla-flavored airhead socialite (she and Mom T are off to a 'kitty party' or whatever, always dressed to the nines) but will never veer from the warpath to cause problems between A&S on both the public and private fronts. Mom T of course still loves her baby boy and as the grand kids come along will go off surreptitiously to visit them at the A&S mansion (Simi ever the loving dinlaw and perfect hostess).
Neetu & Vicky - no bridge over these troubled waters ... Vicky hates holding down a job ... we can start him off by helping Poppa S at the shop where he embezzles funds ... Abhi gets him a job at D. Enterprises which he botches up ... his alcoholic mum is always wanting money and continually shows up at KB (where Neetu & Vicky are forced to live ... Anita has moved back to T. Mahal of course) to create a ruckus ... Neetu resents Simi for her happy marriage and social standing ... she may have to go help Dolly Chaachi at the boutique where she does a reasonable job since she's got a good dress sense and we've already seen her penchant for expensive duds ... so the family is kept solvent thanks to her ... phew!
Mili - returns from 'Phoren' with big fat old PhD plus MD, and is going to be appointed to oversee some big Gov't funded org. by Nakul when he makes it to being Minister in charge of the Health/Science portfolio. She's never getting married even tho' she's a brain and a looker ' she will continue to adore A&S and be the favorite Maasi to her niece and nephew ... has a whole slew of female friends (single and married) who adore her ' she goes on vacation with them ever so often (starting first with Istanbul đ) ... she even helps out Anita when one of the latter's kid needs top notch medical care (never gets adequately thanked of course but will do anything to help her favorite binlaw Abhi ... Vicky she can't stand and may even have had to fend off unwanted attention from that quarter) ...
The Dagar Clan - Nakul turns over the reins to Abhi to run all of D. Enterprises and works on fulfilling his political aspirations ... he's an incorruptible politician and real Desh Bhakt (which also gets him out of those pseudo western duds replete with white socks, into native garb much more in keeping with his tika and earrings) ... of course he has to start his political sojourn as a M.P. (nobody becomes 'minister' off the bat ... geeezzuss) ... we see him build up a loadful of enemies always seeking his downfall ... but not our Nakul ... no siree ... the ultimate Teflon man ... no dirt can stick to him ... he's going to overhaul the nation's child labor laws, put down police brutality, ensure that every child and woman has access to free health and education, and '--------' (fill in the blanks with your favorite cause celebre) ... of course many a woman wants to be Mrs. D simply from the love of power and privilege (we'll figure out if he ever does go down the marital path of course) ... Daadi D can live out the rest of her already comfortable days trying to find a suitable bahu for her pota and coddling A&S's children ... she's going to meet up with St. Peter before long ...
Momma & Poppa S - they'll limp along in a fairly happy life ... visiting and being visited by all the grand kids ... we don't need any catastrophic illnesses or endless visits to the hospital (and even if something like this should crop up Mili will see to things) ... Momma S will come to accept the latest 'ghor kalyug' trend of an older woman with a younger man (since A&S aren't going the KB 1/12 Sweeettie route of divorce after 3 months ... hanh, bus .. ye bi koi baatt hai!!)...
