Sankum, it's the in thing in Indian films and dramas. Sister gets pregnant so the other sister asks her boyfriend to save her sister's reputation and marry her. This means she is OK about her boyfriend having sex with her sister while she waits. It's pretty gross in my viewpoint. The object is to show how wonderful the girl is and how she is wiling to sacrifice her love. It also elevates the role of the hero that he is willing to do all this for the girl he loves.

Of course, sometimes they marry but there is no sex. Indian housewives thrive on this story line. 🤢

Remember the film Silsila? Jaya B. says to Amitabh B. would you marry me if I was giving birth to another man's child (i.e. his brothers), so to save her repuation, he marries her and eventually falls her, but he gives up the love of his life but when he later meets her, they resume their love affair while she is already married to someone else. People loved this film. It was kind of confusing because Rekha was supposed to be the other woman, but in essence it was really Jaya B. if you looked at it a little deeper.

Sankum, I don't think the show will go in that direction, at least I hope not, but it's gone in a direction that I couldn't imagine in the first place, so who knows.

Not everything that is shown in these news channels are part of the actual serial.
They sometimes do that story only for the news channels to promote the show.
So, can't rely on the India Gate thing!

They just don't focus properly on the main character when needed !! They could have made they storyline steady and then brought other parameters !!!

Simi and Abhi have just found out some happiness in being with themselves and could have shown how they actually reciprocate their feelings and then moved on with Neetus problem but looks like priority is given to other parts more like Anuj wanting to break FB and Neetus pregnancy :(

it sez in the blurbs that neetu marries vicky............ so methinks simi finds vicky n after a lot of drama neetu marries vicky.

Oh great! Just what I need!! There goes my well-crafted plot to have Neetu be all mucked up psychologically for a good portion of her life . . .

I'd like to see her (I would?!!) go from one rich cad to the next (and Vicky is a cad!!) who she attracts like bears to honey 'cause she is the best looking of the Sethi lot (I'm still looking for an answer to my Q on another thread about which parent each kid resembles the most 😊 ). . . she meets 'em at the bars of swanky hotels . . . even has a fling with a married man and becomes his mistress for a while . . . runs to Simi & Abhi every time she has a breakup . . . parents have disowned her of course . . . things will straighten out eventually . . . maybe . . .

Mili is headed for law school . . .

god i hope we dont get put through viewer hell for this..........

Get outta here!! Really?!! This is sooooo unfair . . . I've been on tenterhooks w a i t i n g for that to happen . . . the Sunshiners obviously have no regard for my nerves . . . maaan . . . I tell ya . . . can't trust anybody these days . . .

It's the "in thing".. disgusting !! .. It's shocking to know there's an audience for such stories..

Isn't this ironical.. the Indian housewives disapprove the concept of a younger male falling for an elder gal but love it if a girl sacrifices her love and ask HER guy to marry her pregnant sister for the sake of reputation !!!!

It can't get more bizarre !! .. Have they really shown such a story in a serial before?? .. Will be highly disappointed if KB goes this route.. 😕
