Hey, I know that some of you are ADDICTED to Karol Baag.

My question is, WHY?

What is the reason for the show's success? The cast? The storyline? The Drama?

Personally, I think that I am addicted because of everything.

I love the cast, storyline, drama, concept, etc.

What About You?

Clearly all of the above are factors . . . and they are true/same for all of us . . . which means that the end product is orders of magnitude better than the rest of the stuff (every single program across the board . . . all Indian TV channels that I subscribe to), that I characterize as "the infantile made by imbeciles for the brain dead" . . . that sounds cruel, but . . .

The one thing that is unique for me however . . . that which draws and engulfs me is that the setting is Delhi . . . nostalgia floods my person when the areas that I knew so well are shown (I haven't been back in over a decade now) . . . I lived effectively a stone's throw away from India Gate . . . I went to school about that same distance in another direction . . . I can taste the sweetness of those halcyon days - a couple of my high school girl friends would ride up Raj Path before sunrise . . . on cold winter mornings all wrapped up and gradually getting warm and sweaty . . . we'd ride all the way up to Rashtrapati Bhavan, then rest to view the sun rise . . . that ball of fire - not yet a ball of fire at that time of day - rendered the whole scene either a brilliant color or pierced the sorroundings creating a haze before the the fog/mist evaporated . . . much like that wonderful scene in KB where a sleeping Simi is bathed in the soft sunlight emanating from her window and she wakes up with that stellar smile of hers . . .

and the best part of my experience during those rides is that unlike Mili with the scooter, I did not have to walk my dilapidated bicycle back home . . . the tires remainded inflated because it wasn't warm enough . . . see, I had to walk it back in the summers because by the time school let out, at least one of the tires had retired for the day 😕 . . .

So, however vicarious, I get to return 'home' 4 days of the week, and that is addictive 😊

I like this show due to the setting being delhi !! I lived there and used to been in Karol Bagh quite often !!! The cast is a fresh one and they are really offering their acting well !!! I liked the way they are are showing real location and also the story is nice ans interesting

i like the show because I can identify with simi and understand abhi as he is being almost my son's age. and in RS I see lot of my dad. I . Like mili. Nitu and chacha chachi.

It shows real ppl with real problems yes some dramtization but women don't go to bed with heavy jewelar and lots of make up. It is shot in locals rather than on big pompous sets in studio.

We may not like RB and his mother mr. and mrs tarnjehas, anuj and Anita but in real life we are surrrounded by such ppl and have to deal with them a lot. So it is like a show about real ppl and their ordeals in day to day life.

Abhi & only Abhi....maybe in the begiining my reasons were also the same as u ppl have said above....the simplicity..the realism...bt at present though the above reasons r also there bt the biggest reason is ABHI...i w8 so impatiently to watch his scenes...totally in love with him.. 😍 😍

yes im addicted 2 tis show..i was out of town for 10 days n i was really upset missing 6 episodes of such a great show..wat is so addictive is the cast ..basically the dramatization ..all the characters luk so real..i can identify wid mr sethi ..he is xactly like my father n manjus trouble is also unerstandable as my mom smewat had also undergone thru tis...above all simmi n abhi keeps me hooked!!jus love the couple!

I am addicted to all the concept is not like all the rest knew they created a series extraordinary actors are wonderful to know to play the role Wonders

frankly i didn't start watching Karol Bagh from the very beginning. i only begun watching KB when i saw the promo of abhi entering the drama. before that i felt that simi's character was too poorly treated by the others & it was pretty unbearable to watch.😆

however my entire viewpoint changed after abhi's entry.😊 i think the very first episode of KB i watched fully was when abhi finds simi after she falls out of rajiv bhalla's car and i was hooked. i guess it's the chemistry between neil & smriti has made me watch & it's only out of love for the two of them am i still watching Karol Bagh.😳

the concept of Karol Bagh started out very well, Karol Bagh was one of the most realistic dramas on television. not anymore. it's turning crappy & i hope the creatives find a way to salvage this serial before it goes to the dogs.😕

My sisters and I simply adore this show! We literally rush to the TV once its on. I think it's because this show has a younger cast, fresh faces, and a realistic storyline. Personally I'm addicted to it bcuz i have 2 sisters and we all have 3 completely diff personalities just like Simi, Neetu and Mili. Also, this show is liberal..the "young guy, old girl" dating concept and out of marriage sexual relationship. Its reality to a certain extent.
