They could have spent more time on the Abhi and Simi storyline without bringing int his character - and they brought a character in that would make Abhi look less than the eligible bachelor. Why the negative tone waiting for the pair to look like complete fools? 😕

Here are my thoughts -

Points to note about Nakul -
1. He made sure Abhi addresses him as 'bhaiyya'.
2. He addressed himself as 'hum' instead of 'main'.
Looks like this guy demands respects and makes sure he gets it.

As far as the hug is concerned, I felt, Nakul was just showing off that he is a good person who has lot of 'tameezh' because he doesn't hug a grown-up girl!
Though Anita is no saint, Nakul taunting her in front of her husband and father-in-law was not right at all.

He looks like a person who has lots of rules and will make sure others follow, and if the person concerned is the 'wife', then wife would not have a say in anything. Husband needs to be strong about not dictate terms.
In that way, well, he definitely is a Mr. Wrong for Simi.

They didn't mention how long back Abhi and Anita had met Nakul. I would still wait and see what is Nakul's background....

Bee5; thanks for your comments. Good points. I totally agree with you that Nakul will have a lot of rules in his house as it is regarding women. Unforunately, the Seethis are not the brightest people in the world when it comes to selecting men for the girls. After all, Rajeev Bhala won them over and he was sickly sweet. Nukul is doing the same with them and Manju is overjoyed, but then again, she'd be overjoyed if you put a horse in a pair of pants and had him show up at the door as a rishta for Simi - she's so desperate to get her daughter married off.

So unless a) Simi rejects him (not possible) or b) he rejects Simi (doesn't look like it), we are going to see this storyline go far - perhaps to another marriage until we see Simi and Abhi finally confess that they want to marry each other. My guess is the whole point of this storyline is to make them confess their love for each other.

Loved all the posts and the comments.....as I told before too....the moment i saw him felt he is definately Mr.WRONG......a sly fox.........did u girls notice how he keeps his hands stretched and doesn't touch Anita as sees Simi's dad noticing all that.........such a fake person.....am sure he must have had a soft corner for Anita the way he looks at her first time......
