Yesterday's episode (6/5/10), of course Neil as Abhi stole the show. Smriti has also delivered her best performance along with him.
Simi was scared out of her wits when Abhi hugged her from behind because inwardly she is scared of Bhalla and remembers Abhi and Anuj nor anyone else is at home.
Liked her expression when she realises its Abhi. Her relief it is him, and anger for scaring her and tears out of tension was good. The way she tells him''I got scared Abhi'..Her tone in saying Abhi here was nice.
The way she quickly hugged him was out of relief and he said where else will I go or rather who else I have for pulling pranks.
The way she was putting aside Abhi's request, she looked really coy and shy and her eyes showed her query'..this time?
She was smiling away when Abhi was managing Anuj's sudden entry.
She was happy when Abhi came back and kissed her.
Simi was enjoying the scene and continuing to work when all went for a toss.
The way she was still trying to skip his query. It showed her immaturity again when she is not answering a direct question of his and instead tries to tell him to come have a look at what she is cooking. You change topics like this only with a 5 year old child and it gets carried away. She made a fool of herself right there. Smriti did show that foolishness perfectly on her face.
Her helplessness was clear when he has given his "kasam" cos now she has to answer him.
Her fear in disclosing RB's proposal was evident in the way she was stammering to blurt out the truth. The way she is waiting in fear about the way he is going to react was good.
The way she is trying to defend her action pointing out that his anger prevented her in telling him was enacted well. Her shock is clear in her eyes when Abhi reminds she is his wife and it matters to him as she is trying to tell him what difference it makes since the issue was resolved.
Her expression was perfect when she realizes the damage done to his ego when he says Bhalla made a fool out of me in front of you because she hid the fact from him.
The way she tried to prove her point that she chased Bhalla and the issue was managed was stupidity on her part, but the emoting was good in the form of urgency to tell him another truth that was kept a secret.
Simi trying to gain confidence just by saying she trusts him was again a baseless response in tears, but Simi, the damage done cannot be undone now.
Smriti as Simi was best in her performance. She enacted her character well.
Abhi's infectious laughter at outwitting Simi that his plan to scare her and surprise her worked was wonderful.
Abhi's surprise when he sees Simi was seriously scared.
Abhi's defense saying I don't have anyone else to pull pranks.
His expression when he pinches Simi gave us a feeling that he actually missed her.
His genuine happiness at her hug, surprise at the hit she gave him, him trying to pacify her to let go her anger was good.
The naughty look in his eyes was sweet when he tells her no one is at home, what say??? A delicate issue discussed between husband and wife could not have been asked in a more simple way.
Abhi managing the scene with Anuj's sudden entry was very nice. His excited hi at Anuj as if he was really happy seeing him there was good to watch. The way he tries to send Anuj away and a quick reentry in the kitchen pleading his wife with'come on, once'.please---please with his twists and turning around left me giggling as I watched him. Again a private talk between a couple done most sweetly. His disappointment, yet once again coming back, kissing her and leaving her with a caress on her face was a delight to watch. Definitely a sweet romance.
And two more minutes into the show we get a different shade of Abhi.
His piercing look at her asking what the note means.
His expression when his doubt is confirmed as Simi changes topic.
His seriousness to know the truth, his shock after learning the truth, his silence and moist eyes trying to take in such a shocking revelation, his slowly rising anger at Simi not disclosing it to him in the first place, his fuming anger at Bhalla.
His pain was evident when he learns Simi hid this fact. What pained him more was that Bhalla made a fool out of him because Simi did not disclose this to him and bhalla knew about it. In that anger also, Abhi mentions she is his wife and such an important issue was not even shared between them.
The way he asked her biting his teeth and with overflowing tears'Kyun tumne mujhse chupaya Simi?...was an excellent performance.
The way he said it matters to me when Simi asks what difference it makes when problem was sorted at her end was nothing but plain truth. The way he told that by banging his fists at the kitchen platform was extremely brilliant.
It was perfect when he told her that she has broken his trust. His denial how Simi could do this, anger at bhalla, frustration that he was kept in the dark and tears since he felt betrayed. All in one statement'extemely brilliant emoting.
When Simi is trying to prove and boast that she chased him with iron rod, the gaze and his teary eyes directly looking at her spoke this unspoken statement'.So much happened and this was also not disclosed to me. Poor guy had too much shocks to absorb for the day.
He made the statement of the day with much clarity'.humare rishte mei har baat share karna'yeh important hai. SIMI JI, the guy you call baccha at 22 knows this. WAKE UP GIRL.
Abhi could not believe she distrusted him about being responsible. That was too much for him. So his decision is final'and he has told her in full toned aithoritative voice'You chose to do what you felt right, now what I will do is my choice.
The way he pulled away from her and went away was good.
Sadly since he was given too many shocks, he feels Simi has kept him in the dark about bhalla shifting residence also. But my heart went out to him when he asked the million dollar question'''Kyun kar rahi hai Simi yeh mere saath? (Why is Simi doing this to me).
Now I wish even Simi knows why or the writers know why?
