As a promotional exercise for their upcoming film, Ugli Aur Pagli, Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC producers) and Percept Picture Company (PPC, presenters and promoters) asked Mallika to be part of Dus Ka Dum. Sony was game and everything seemed fine. Our source informs us, "PNC and Percept were quite excited about the idea and they shared their plan with Mallika."
According to our source, the moment Mallika heard of the plan she turned it down. And though the producers tried hard to persuade her, she told them categorically that she was not interested.
What was it that made Mallika take such a stand? After all, she is the female protagonist of Ugli Aur Pagli and it was only in the interest of the film. Our source reveals, "Mallika did not go because the host of Dus Ka Dum is Salman Khan."
The story goes that the relationship between Salman and Mallika went sour during the Rockstars tour in UK in 2006. The choreographers accompanying the stars on the tour felt that they were not paid adequately and threatened to abandon the show. They even complained to Salman who took up their cause and requested all the stars to take a cut in their fee so that the choreographers could be paid more money.
All the stars, except John and Mallika, agreed. This set Salman fuming. Later during the tour, however, Salman tried to befriend Mallika but she ignored him.
She and her brother, who was accompanying her, remained friendly with John. John and Mallika's closeness further infuriated Salman and the two actors even had a showdown over her. Our source adds, "All is still not well between Mallika and Salman. Ditto with the relationship between John and Salman."
Apparently, while Salman has not made any negative comments against Mallika thereafter (Does he still want to befriend her?), he hasn't missed any opportunity to run down John.
For instance: An interviewer once asked why Babul (which starred John and Salman) had flopped, Salman had replied, "The second part of the film was weak!" The second part had John Abraham while the first part had Salman.

Aradhna, celebrity manager Synergy Adlabs (producers of Dus Ka Dum), blames it on (what else?) dates and says, "Yes, Mallika was supposed to appear on our show. We had discussed it with Salman and he was okay with her presence. But it fell flat because the dates, which they (the producers) wanted, were frozen with other celebrities."
When we tried asking Rangita Nandy (producer of Ugli Aur Pagli) about Mallika's reluctance to come on Sallu's show, she said, "Please leave me out of this. I don't wish to comment. Sorry."
However, Abhishek Nayyar, marketing head of PPC, said it all. Initially he said, "Yes, Mallika didn't go for Dus Ka Dum. She is very selective and it's not that she is not promoting our film.
She went to promote it on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and other places." When we asked him if it was because of Salman's presence in Dus Ka Dum that she refused, Nayyar said, "Mallika is smart. That could be one of the reasons for her refusal."

Salman is the only guy that can carry off the shirtless look, that too with such ease. He's the ultimate iron man
lol! But ever since they've update IF, the avis and sigs have gone
