She removed her hand from his mouth. With all the regret in the world she lowered her eyes expecting him to lash out again. But all she heard was

HUH?

Even after few seconds when Khushi didn't hear anything, she looked up to find the confused look on her husband. She was relieved to not see the rage in his eyes anymore however his silence was still killing her by the seconds.

Arnavji please say something. Are you upset with me? Do you not want me to be in your life anymore? Trust me Arnavji i didn't want to hide my past from you. I wanted to tell you everything before marriage but everything happened so quickly and no body allowed us to meet until the engagement day. Even that day we were not able to talk alone. And I didn't know how to tell you. You will have to trust me when I say I never intended to ditch you or your family. Arnavji please say something. You are scaring the hell out of me now.

Khushi spoke in a breath watching the confused eyes turn into sad and then amusing making her scared and confused all the more.

Khushi you really should breathe when you talk you know and give the time space for others to respond.

Arnav held her left hand and guided her to their bedroom recliner. He made her sit there and got some water for her from the bedside table. After keeping the glass back in its place, Arnav sat beside her with her right palm enclosed in both of his. With a lump in his throat he asked Khushi,

Khushi, before we discuss anything I want to first know if you are still in love with that guy?

She nodded her head in denial.

Are you sure?

She nodded her head vigorously indication a definite YES.

Khushi, thanks for letting me know about your past but frankly

it doesn't make a difference to me if that past of yours

doesn't affect our present and future. I understand you had

to gather a lot of courage to speak to me about it and I

appreciate it. I wish all could be this transparent and honest in life. Life would have been so much simpler. *Sigh*

Anyways, to answer your rapid fire questions, No I am I not upset with you, anymore. And again No I don't want you go away from our lives. Khushi trust me when I say this, I will never, even in my dreams, want to stay away from you. Even though we have hardly met and hardly known each other, I am sure of one thing, that I want you in my life forever. When I agreed to marry you I knew I was getting into an arranged marriage wherein I had no clue how you would be. All I had was the information about your family and you from Di n the relentless beating of my heart every time I looked at your picture or thought about you. My heart had accepted you the moment I laid my eyes on your picture. You have no idea how happy I was when the ceremonies were held in haste. Well, one of the reason was coz I cannot stand all these rituals, but mostly because I you would enter my life sooner. Our wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life.

Khushi, for me this marriage is until death do us part.

Khushi kept looking at his face in awe. Here she was in a panic expecting him to throw her out of the house and there Arnav was pouring his heart out as to how he cannot imagine his life without her.

Hey Devi Maiyya, aap ko pakka kal sau jalibiyon ka bhog lagaungi. Arnavji ka dil bhi mere dil jaisa dhadakta hai.

Seeing Khushi with tears rolling down her cheek and a small smile on her lips, Arnav knew she was doing the same happy tear thing that his Di always does.

So Khushi, then do accept me as your husband, Dil Se.

She again nodded in reply.

Waise Di ne jab tumhari photo mujhe dikhayi thi tab mujse yeh kaha tha ki ladki bahot bolti hai, lekin yahan to tumhari bolti bilkul band ho gayi hai. And I have never spoken so much in my entire life, not even during a presentation in office.

He wiped off the tears from her face, and kissed her forehead. Guiding her to the bed, he commanded her to sleep. And he himself got to work on his laptop for a few minutes before he also placed himself on his side of the bed and slept off.

Payal very well knew, that their conversation is better off, carried within the closed doors. Soon she closed and bolted her room doors. She went back to her previous position near the wall, standing as close to it and as away from him as possible. The look on Akash's face was that of a really pissed off and hungry tiger.

As soon as she resumed her position Akash without wasting a second held both of her wrists, pulling them behind her and as a result making her stand as close to him as possible with her breasts touching his chest. Payal could feel a rapidly beating heart, though she was not sure if it was just hers or both of their hearts were beating in unison. And he could feel her breasts moving up and down rapidly. She tried to look everywhere but him. He could not take it anymore and held both her wrists in one hand and used the hand to grab her nape positioned her face in such a way that their noses were touching.

Seeing the confused look on his face she said more angrily.

And will you please enlighten me with the knowledge that ur jiji has bestowed upon you about my whereabouts when she herself doesn't have a clue.

Her sentence never got completed as Akash had slammed his lips on hers. He kissed her like a hungry beast, sucking hard. He bit her lips to gain access into her mouth. His tongue snaked his way into her mouth. With Payal responding in equal fervor, they fought for dominance with their tongue. Soon they were breathing harder and shallower.
