Naughty, are we? (Part 3)

Khushi meekly closed the door to their room. She was scared.

On regular days her husband's changing moods kept her guessing, and today had been extra special!

"Pehle toh kal raat jhagda kiya. Phir aaj humein aur jiji ko daant diya. Aur phir bina kuchh kahe bhaag gaye. Laad Governer kahin ke!" Firstly, he argued with me last night. Then he scolded me and jiji. And then he ran away without saying a word. That Laad Governer!

Khushi started thinking. And started getting angry. "Humne kya kiya? Nahi.. humari koi galti nahi hai! Woh hi nahi samajhte.. aur humari Jiji ko bhi daant diya! Aur Nanheji ka kya dosh? Hum kal hi Nanheji ke saath woh.. sq..squa..squash khelenge. Khadoos akadu Laad Governer. Hmmph." What had I done? No.. its not my fault! He never understands anything.. and he went ahead and scolded my Jiji too! And where was Nanheji wrong in any of this? I shall go and play that sq..squa..squash with Nanheji tomorrow. Arrogant egotistical Laad Governer!
Well.. She thought. And her mouth moved accordingly, spouting the words her brain conjured.
It was an easy task for Arnav to discern his pretty little wife's mood.
Arnav.. oh yes.. Now what had he been doing ever since the racquets had dropped?

Well, he had been hiding his face. From his Di.
Yep. You heard right.
That's 'cause Mr. Raizada had been blushing!

The man who could make grown men pee in their pants with one look, had been blushing and hiding that fact from his nemesis- his Di. Because if Anjali ever came to know he had been blushing, she wouldn't rest till she found out the reason why.
Hell, she'll go on a fast till I tell her, and then she'll make me swear on her name that I told her the truth! Arnav had thought.
And if that wouldn't be all, Anjali would then take extreme pleasure in teasing her Chhote, telling the rest of the family about what happened, and making sure that his GRAND KIDS knew about the erroneous ways of ASR. Khushi would be dragged in, too!
Yeah, that's the thing. I cannot let Khushi be dragged into this. Poor dear, she would suffer so much! Yes, that is the reason I am hiding. Nothing else. Otherwise, who has the power to confront me? Huh? No one. Thus, our dear ASR consoled himself.
The very next minute, he scampered for cover, when he heard Payal rushing past him to go to the kitchen.

All for Khushi. Right?
All the time that he had been hiding, Arnav couldn't stop thinking about the huge blunder he had been about to commit. Damn it! They had been discussing squash! And me.. ASR! Get a grip! You are not going to think about Payal and Aakash.. You are not going to think about Payal and Aakash..
You are not going to think about.. Shit! Is that what they do? What else..? STOP IT ASR!
Arnav was turning into Khushi, slowly but surely.
Arnav knew he had to face his wife someday. Some day. Because he very well hoped today would not be that some day. She would ask questions.
And she would not like the answers.
Well, his reprieve came to a premature end when he heard the door opening and closing.
And then he heard her muttering to herself (as usual) and knew that he was in for a stormy evening with his wife.
Curse that Aman! Why can't he call me now? Wait.. I'll call him. Damn, where's the phone?
Arnav frantically searched with his eyes, keeping his body movements to a minimum.
You know how they say that when you face a snake that's about to strike, just hold still, don't even breathe? That is the tactic Mr. Raizada had been using ever since his personal Naagin had entered the room.
Khushi saw through it immediately.
"Aap! Aap kya kar rahe thei? Aapko pata bhi hai jiji ko kitna bura laga hoga? EK toh aap kal raat 'woh sab' keh rahe thei.. phir humare mana karne par humse jhagda kiya. Phir aaj jab hum aapko manane ke nuskhe seekh rahe thei tab aapne humari jiji ko hi daant diya? Aur Nanheji ko beechh mein kyun ghasita?" You! What were you doing? Do you know how bad jiji must have felt? At first you tell me all 'those things' last night.. then when I refused to comply, you fought with me. Then when I was learning tricks to pacify you, you had to go ahead and shout on my jiji? And why did you drag Nanheji into the fight?
Arnav's embarrassment quickly converted to anger when he heard Khushi rushing to her "Nanheji's" defense. Or so he thought.
It was really his sub-conscious way of hiding his embarrassment, and transferring it on to something more acceptable to his senses.

Nanheji was gladly sacrificed.
"You always support that good for nothing NK. Why don't you go and ask him why we fought last night? Maybe he will explain to you that a guy has needs! NEEDS, Khushi! But wait, if you could understand that with mere words, why would we have argued in the first place?" Arnav barked out.
Khushi, who had been pink with anger, then red with shyness (when she mentioned 'those things') turned upon Arnav with pure rage.
"How dare you, Mr. Raizada! You don't have proper manners to talk to me, you are shameless, you are impatient, and you are always angry. And you dare accuse me of not understanding you? Why in the world should i ask Nanheji anything personal??? How can you think of turning this around to blame me for not knowing your NEEDS?" Khushi stood bravely staring him in the face.

Aah! My tigress! You look lovely!! Exquisite.. I want to devour those lips.. kiss you senseless.. but.. Arnav stopped his wayward thoughts and concentrated on the matter at hand.
He knew he was wrong. But how do you pacify your wife in such cases? Hell, how do you pacify your wife in ANY case?
He had to think of something, quick.
And then he remembered what he had read somewhere..
During arguments, the emotions of anger cause adrenaline to flow in your body. This can be interpreted by the body to represent a state of passion. If directed correctly, these feelings can be used to generate feelings of intense passion such that the union of the two bodies is like never before.
Mentally cringing at the last few words, he decided what he had to do.
In a dangerously low voice, like that of an animal, he said, "Because I am your husband. And you are right, I shall explain everything to you. Let me start right now."
With that he launched himself on to Khushi, kissing her passionately. While at first she did not respond, she soon woke up to the challenge and understood his intentions.

"Mmphh.. Mmmph.. nahi..aap..mmm.." Khushi's words of protest were unable to make it past her lips.
As soon as she opened her mouth, he deepened the kiss. Khushi's protest soon turned into passion, as she fought for control.
Her anger was replaced by raw desire. Of course, she did not know that.
If you would ask her, she would tell you that Arnav had manipulated her, or that her body betrayed her. But confess what she felt? A big no.
So they fought. Or that's what they thought. That's what she thought.
And they both won in the end.
*At the dining table during dinner*
"Khushi, yeh kya hua? Yeh chot kaise lagi? Kahin gir gayi thi kya?" Payal looked at the various bruises on Khushi's hands and arms, and asked her.
Anjali, meanwhile, looked past that to notice Arnav's eyes. Yup, her Chhote had been naughty! And she understood from his bruised lips that Khushiji was an equal participant in the act.
Wanting to give both of the a break, she redirected attention toward herself and exclaimed loudly, "Arre naniji! Aapko pata hai humne aaj mandir mein kise dekha?" Naniji! Do you know who I saw at the mandir today?
Khushi's blush intensified when she saw her husband grinning at her. She remembered all the other bruises she had managed to hide with her dress covering her body. God only knows how she would explain the to anyone. That akadoo, sadoo LAAD GOVERNER!
Arnav grinned in response to her mental abuses directed at him, and leaned towards Khushi to whisper, "Waise Khushi! Main soch raha hoon tumhe squash khelna seekhna chahiye.. Main aaj raat se hi tumhari traning chalu kar doonga!" By the way, Khushi! I think you should learn squash.. I shall start training you from tonight itself!
And his wink reminded Khushi of the time he had spent today, "showing" her how to play "squash".

The End
(and the beginning of a promising squash career for Khushi 😉)
