..Don't speak as I try to leave 'cause we both know what we'll choose
If you pull then I'll push too deep and I'll fall right back to you...
'Cause you are the piece of me I wish I didn't need
Chasing relentlessly, still fight and I don't know why...

Chapter 3. Because She Saw His Face
'Aaj ka din hi bura hai.'
She was falling; her eyes droopy, slowly closing as if she was entering a deep sleep.
Except.
She didn't.
"You should thank me, you know."
She knew that voice!
"Tumhe Mr. Floor ko kiss karne se bachaa liya."
Her eyes shot open and she turned her head to look at the owner of that voice.
There he was, standing there like some hotshot, with an strong, tightening grip on her wrist, unwilling to let go.
Mr. Randhir Singh Shekawat!
In an instant, she pulled herself up and with her free hand, grabbed the sling of her bag and rammed it into the side of his head with full force, separating her hand from his!
His face whipped sideways as he stumbled back and shouted, "Ow!" "You crazy girl!"
"Yeah and you're very sane, right? Pushing girls and spraining their feet!"
"I did tell you to move!"
"After you pushed me!"
'This...this girl was insane!,' he thought as he rubbed the side of his head still feeling the impact of her bag striking his head!
'She was more angry than he thought.' 'There was no chance in hell she would accept him as her leader, now.'
"You double-crossed me on top of that!"
'How dare he!' 'How dare he show his face to me after what he did!' She still couldn't believe he was standing there, in front of her eyes!
"Dekho, hum already bohot late hain, Vardhan Sir abhi kuch important announce karega." "We have to go."
She ignored him, turning around and limping her way across the empty hallway, grimacing at the pain in her foot.
He watched her as she tried to put her foot on the ground and then remove it; repeating the same process a few dozen times.
It was a funny sight, really. He wanted to laugh but it would be plain weird to just laugh out of nowhere so instead, he walked up to her and offered her his hand.
She swatted it away indignantly.
He rolled his eyes and offered her his hand, again.
She was confused. Angry and confused. First he pushes her, almost crippling her in the process, doesn't even bother to apologize, and even ditches her on the spot, then he saves her from falling; which let's just say was on instinct since you would normally do that to anyone, but to offer help, to offer a hand repeatedly to someone whom you considered your enemy was something that left her very perplexed.
He definitely had something up his sleeve. Yes, she wouldn't make the mistake of ever trusting him again,' she thought decidedly.
"Look, I'm trying to help you here." "Genuinely."
But then again, this was the same person who had helped her get to her room that night.
'Maybe he realized his mistake after really seeing the condition she was in.'
Hesitating a bit, she gradually moved her hand towards his.

So, so sorry for such a short update! I wasn't going to post anything today as I'm reeeally busy with my family. Yeah, we have a large family and they're all under one roof today! 😆
Hmm...what could be going on in Randhir's mind? Is he trying to get on her good side for leadership or is he genuinely helping her? And what's with Vardhan's important announcement? 😕
Don't worry all these questions will be answered in the next chapter!😉
And yes, for those of you who noticed, I have changed this story from an SS to an FF 'cause it's turning out to be longer than I thought! So, yay for that!
