Chapter 36

Priya is putting her books in the locker while a boy comes up to her.

Guy #4: (tapping on Priya shoulder) excuse me.

Priya: (turning around) yes

Guy #4: Are you priya?

Priya: yes

Guy #4: (giving her a note) Naina told me to give this to you.

Priya: Thanks (the guy leaves, Priya begins to read the note in her mind)

(Thinking) wait I don't have history with her. Eh! Maybe she has Mr. Khan another time. (Priya closes her locker and walks away)

Later on in the canteen. Everyone is sitting down. Jyoti is bugging Mitesh.

Mitesh: (mad) no

Jyoti: (sweetly) yes

Mitesh: (holding his head) oh my god.

Jyoti: (sweetly) yes god has spent so much time on you for me.

Mitesh: yeah and the least time on you.

Jyoti mouth drops open,

Priya: (closing Jyoti's mouth) Anyways, where is the fifth floor in this school.

Pritem: the fifth floor is on top the fourth floor, but under the roof of the school.

Priya: Ha Ha very funny (pauses) No I'm serious when I go to the 4^th floor for math, the stairs end there.

Manisha: there's only one entrance and exit to the fifth floor. Which is only connected to a door outside the school and the forth floor. But we don't have class on that side of the fifth floor. That side is for first year students. Why you want to go?

Priya: Naina wants to ask me something (pauses) Wait isn't Naina graduating with us. Then what is she doing in the first year section. (Arjun begins to giggle) don't tell me this is because of Arjun.

Arjun: yup! I get stuck with that locker, since Naina was closet locker to everyone else. And since she liked me, she said yes. So she stuck there.

Priya: Poor girl! Hope she find someone better then you.

Arjun: yeah me too (Priya makes a face at him)

Priya: show me where it is after school. Ok

Manisha: k

Everyone continue on and later drop, Priya a distance away from the stairways, outside except for Arjun.

Priya: You guys stay here, she wants to meet me alone.

Pritem: why? You guys planning something for Arjun.

Priya: I wouldn't plan anything for him if my life depended on it.

Priya walks to the stairs, opens the door, and runs up to the 5^th floor. She catches her breath as she reads the note on Naina locker.

Priya leaves the not on the locker and runs down the stairs to her locker. Meanwhile, Arjun meets everyone outside.

Arjun: what are you guys doing out here.

Manisha: waiting for Priya, Naina wants to meet her alone.

Arjun: why? Are there planning something for me.

Pritem: that what's I thought, but no.

Arjun looks at the door and sees Vicky opening the door and going in. Arjun ignores it. It's all quite on the forth floor, no one is around. Priya waits outside her locker and decides to take out her books from her locker. Vicky comes from behind and closes the partly opened locker.

Vicky: hey Baby

Priya ignores him and tries to walk past Vicky to the door, but Vicky blocks her.

Vicky: You know it worries me how can an beautiful girl like you could be alone in the halls.

Priya: and its worries me how dumb you are.

Priya turns and walks away. Vicky stops her again.

Vicky: you know whenever I look at you; this poem always pops up in my mind.

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Sugar is sweet

And so are you

Priya: ironic I get one too

Vicky: really what is it? Let me see what you think of me.

Priya: Roses are red

Violets are blue

When gods gave brains

Where the hell were you?

Vicky: (grabbing his chest and rubbing it) ouch

Priya moves away and was about to walk away but is yet again stopped by Vicky.

Vicky: you know what I like about you (touching her hair) your hair (Priya pushes his hand) your lips (about to touch her lips, but Priya pushes his hand away)

Priya: you know what I love about you?

Vicky: No what

Priya: I love your smile, your eyes, and your cheeks, that my hand can't resist slapping.

Priya walks away but is blocked by Vicky again.

Vicky: you know you're the first girl who hasn't yet fallen for my charm.

Priya: well that's life.

Priya walks a couple of step. Vicky stops her.

Vicky: will if we're talking about life. You know what I say, life is for living and love is for giving and I want to give myself to you.

Priya: Sorry (pauses) I don't accept cheap gifts.

Priya walks away; Vicky stops her in front of a classroom.

Vicky: who said anything about accepting?

Priya: huh?

Vicky covers Priya's mouth and pulls her into the classroom. Priya tries to kick him away. He lets her go and throws her on to a desk. He turns around and closes the door. Priya gets up and is about to run away but Vicky gets a hold of her.

Vicky: (grabbing her arm) where do you think you're going?

Priya pulls her arm away and begins to walk backwards towards the wall opposite the door.

Priya: (scared) why the hell are you doing this. What did I ever do-

Vicky: (cutting her off) nothing. I'm just taking Manisha words into consideration. If no one see me here with you then how will you prove that I - (starts walking towards Priya giggling)

Priya: (walking backwards, yelling) help me someone. Help (stops as she backs into a bookcase)

Vicky: (stops walking. Yelling like Priya) help me, help me (normal tone) go ahead yell. Yell more louder. No one will hear you. (Walking towards her)

Priya: (back towards book case) don't came near me (throwing books at Vicky) help! Don't you dare come near me?

Vicky tries to dodge the books. Priya thinking that he is distracted by the book, tries to run passed him. Vicky grabs onto Priya stomach and throws her on a table.

Vicky: (forcing down on Priya) who will help you now

Priya: (screaming) let go of me. Help!

As he forces himself on Priya a hand grabs Vicky off Priya.
