Chapter 39

Next day Aarti gets Ishita's call. They talked a little then she teased Aarti about their honeymoon.

"Life is not some movie where everything is fine after marriage. In real life we have countless problems, we face everything all alone, we cannot ask someone to help us." She spoke her heart out. Ishita was not expecting her to talk like this after she got a happy marriage with the love of her life.

"Aarti, tu yeh kaisi baatein kar rahi hai, sab theek hai na?" She asked in worry. Aarti snapped out of her thoughts realising what all she spoke.

"Yes, everything is fine." She lied.

Few days passed but Aarti was not ready to go back to the Scindia mansion. Gayatri was getting angry at her now to see Yash trying so hard to take her back.

"What do you want? Can't you value a guy like Yash who loves you so much" She shouted at Aarti who was standing near the door.

"Tum aajkal ki generation ki yeh hi toh problem hoti hai, shaadi ke baad bore hojate ho ek doosre se, tell me if you're also bored of Yash?" Gayatri shook her by the arm.

"Yes, I'm bored, I don't love him anymore." Aarti snapped at her. Gayatri was shocked with the thought of Aarti being in an affair with some other guy. Aarti stormed to her room. Gayatri's eyes fell on Yash who was standing there out of the house, by looking at his face she knew he listened to whatever Aarti said.

"Yash beta, listen to me." Gayatri comes out when he turns to leave.

"Yash" She keeps calling but his car zoomed away, Gayatri holds her head, stunned at the turn of events.

"Aarti" She came to Aarti's room and told her that Yash came here and heard what she said.

"Are you happy now, he came to know what you could not tell on his face?" Gayatri was furious, realising something worse was going to happen soon. Aarti cried in regret as Gayatri left the room slamming the door angrily.

Later Gayatri comes to Scindia mansion in a hope to save her daughter's marriage and she apologises to Suraj and Radha but for her confusion Yash hasn't returned home. Suraj tried calling Yash in worry only to realise that his phone was switched off.

She returned home and told Aarti that Yash didn't reach home and also his phone was coming off. Aarti was worried for him and left the house senselessly. She tried to call his office staff but nobody knew where he was.

"Kahin woh farmhouse toh nahi gaye" She thought and told a taxi driver the address. Reaching there she finds him in bar. He was already drunk when she neared him.

"How do people fall out of love?" Yash asked, staring at the glass in his hand.

"Bolo" He threw the glass on the floor and it broke into pieces. Aarti looked down because she had no answer.

"Ok tell me how people get bored of somebody once they claim to love madly." He changed the question while picking a bottle.

"Answer me damn it" He breaks the bottle as well on hearing just dead silence from her. Aarti was startled and a tear fell from her eyes.

"Did you fall for someone else?" He finally turned toward her.

"How long have you been dating that guy?" He took slow steps toward her.

"Did he take good care of you?" He noticed how she began to move away from him.

"Or is he good in bed?" He held her arm. She wriggled out without saying a word only to slap him, he didn't even flinch.

"Why did it hurt you?" He caresses his cheek. Her eyes stuck on his shoes.

"Look at me Aarti, don't be ashamed." He rudely grabbed her waist. Silent tears fell from her eyes.

"You can tell me" He lifted her chin only to find her wet eyes.

"Why these tears?" He cleaned her face.

"I'll free you, just tell me?" He holds her nape to make her face him.

"Bas kijiye" She pushed him away, he stumbled and about to fall when she held him.

"You no longer need to pretend to care for me" He snapped her hand and began to walk upstairs.

"Yash" Aarti ran towards him as he was about to fall again.

"Jhuth hai na tumhara yeh pyaar?" He mumbled as she looked at him in concern.

"Bolo na" He mumbled when she began to take him upstairs.

"Aarti when did you changed so much?" He asked as they entered his room. She silently made him lay on bed.

"You break me today." He pulled her when she was trying to shift him in the middle of bed. She fell on his chest and her hair covered their faces.

"What is lacking in my love?" He removed her hair and tucked it behind her ear. She has no words to console him and it makes her feel terrible.

"Is physical need all that matters?" He turned and hovered over her.

"Yash" She placed hand on his chest.

"Did your heart still beat with my name or does it have somebody else's name?" He lay head on her chest. She lay there helplessly, just can't hide that her heart will die the day it doesn't take his name.

"Why is this still saying my name?" He pressed his ear more in confusion. She smiled with her wet eyes.

"So jaiye aap." She brushed his soft hair, he snuggled more into her chest, mumbling something. She felt his soft breathing and realised that he slept, her eyes also gave up to tiredness.

In the morning Yash wakes up and finds Aarti sitting in front of the dressing table, she was drying her wet hair. He felt a headache then only it hit him what happened last night. He remembered that Aarti came here but what happened after that he can't recall.

"Did I force her?" Yash was afraid because he was too drunk and hurt. Aarti noticed that he woke up.

"Why did you have to come behind me?" He shouted. She can't understand what he meant. He walked towards her and removed her hair from neck then he looked at her lips, arms, waist. She was confused as to what he was doing. He sighs to find no mark on her body. She finally realised what he was checking.

"Nothing happened between us." She was angry.

"And nothing should happen." He replied as if he was glad.

"Yash" She was hurt.

"Leave from here" He didn't even glance at her again and left for the bathroom. She sat on the floor, crying on their destiny which doesn't seem to give them any happiness.
