Chapter 20

Yash opened his cupboard and took out a yellow dupatta.

"How long we lived together and I never realized that you're my Aarti" He looked at the silk soft material and remembered how she herself came to give her Nishani.

Flashback...

Bhopal... At the mall.

"Yash try this one" Suraj chose a suit. Yash left for the changing room.

"You look so good." She chirped, looking at herself in the mirror. He was surprised and looked around.

"How do you know?" He asked if that girl was speaking.

"Mirror, you speak like a boy?" She looked at the mirror weirdly. Yash laughed loudly while listening to it. She was startled.

"I'm not a mirror." Yash replied, taking off his shirt.

"Then who are you?" She asked. Yash thru shirt on the wall that separates them. She saw a shirt and got that guy on the other side speaking to her.

"A human like you." He told her, pulling on the new suit.

"Oh so you're also trying on clothes?" she asked cutely. Yash nods yes.

"I can't see you nodding." she said, which surprised Yash.

"If you can't see me then how do you know I just nodded my head." Yash stopped buttoning.

"Oh you didn't reply so I guess that you nodded your head" she giggled innocently. Yash smiled.

"You're cute" He looked in the mirror.

"I know, ok which color you're wearing?" She asked, taking off her yellow dupatta then threw that on the wall, Yash saw that and smiled.

"Hmm blue" Yash looked at himself then replied.

"I'm wearing yellow, it's my favorite color. You know, actually I'm going to my friend's wedding" she said excitedly.

"Oh I'm going to a meeting so my father buys this suit for me" Yash tells.

"Meeting? So how old you're?" She looked into the mirror thinking her jhumkas were matching with her outfit.

"18, and you?" Yash set his collar.

"Aarti beta come, how much time you're taking" Yash heard an old woman's voice. The name stunned him.

"Coming maa" Aarti screamed, hurriedly picking the outfit that she tried and left. Yash also tries to open the door but it gets jammed.

"Shit" He kicked the door open with bang then his eyes fell on her yellow dupatta laying there on the wall, Yash ran out grabbing it. He looked everywhere restlessly.

"Where is Aarti?" Yash comes out of the mall where he finds his friends.

"Who is Aarti?" Prashant asked in confusion.

"The same girl with whom I spent the night" Yash didn't shy away from telling them as right now he just wants to find her.

"Woho you had a fun night?" one of the guys smirked.

"I asked, did you see her?" he said, getting angry.

"Yash, why do you want to search for her now when you already had her?" Prashant asked. Yash doesn't have an answer.

"Se* is everything for you guys, right?" Yash gives an upset look to them.

"Buddy don't get senti please you should move on from her" One of the boy touched Yash's shoulder.

"How easily you ask me to move on, leave it you guys won't understand" Yash moved away hiding the little piece of clothes from their eyes, he can't believe that he was so close to her, they talked for a long time but its seems like destiny didn't want them to meet. Yash is feeling like he just lost her again, maybe for forever.

Flashback out...

"Kash tum mujhe uss din hi mil gayi hoti toh main tumhe kabhi khudse door nahi jane deta" Yash kissed her yellow dupatta. Suraj brings some food for Yash but only to find the room empty.

Yash sat in the car and made a call to Suraj.

"Bauji I'm sorry I know I'm troubling you a lot, but believe me I didn't intend to make you worry. I'm going to make things better, I love you and if you meet Maa someday tell her that I love her a lot, hope you forgive me for all the trouble" He speaks shocking suraj.

"Beta listen to me" Suraj spoke but the call ended from Yash's side. Suraj panicked and ran out of room only to get a call from an unknown number.

Yash drove the car on the highway at full speed, unaware that a car was following him. He put sudden breaks on reaching a hill only to get out of the car and walked ahead, climbed to a huge rock. He stood there thinking about how it all started from Bhopal and today it's gonna end here only.

"Yash stop" Aarti voice halted his step. He didn't turn, somewhere he was angry with her for leaving him like that.

"No" He yells, a lone tear rolls down his cheek.

"Please I can't live without you, I still haven't learned to live without you" She cried waiting for him to turn and to forgive her.

"You lived without me, you learned" He spoke, looking at the deep hill in front of him.

"But I still don't want to live without you" she walked toward him. He turned around and found her just so near him.

"I don't like this hide and seek game" He tells, getting down the rock.

"Then I'll never play this game" She tells looking into his moist eyes with her wet one.

"Because I love you" She took a step near only to wipe the remaining distance from between them.

"I love you too" Yash touched her face. She holds his hand only to place kisses on his fingers crying, she can't believe that she decided to follow him after overhearing his call with suraj.

"Promise me you will never think of doing something like this again" She hugged him feeling like she got her world.

"I promise" Yash clutched her closer, he just didn't want to leave her even for air in fear she would again disappear from his eyes. Both their hands run all over each other's body to make sure they're together. Delight will be underestimated, at this moment they felt as if they got all the happiness of the world.

Suraj reached there only to find both of them there safe.

"Yash" Suraj called him, Yash parted from Aarti only to see suraj.

"I'm sorry bauji" Yash apologized walking toward him, suraj hugged him emotionally.

"Dare you do something like this again" Suraj softly slapped Yash cheek. Yash told him the truth that he lied just so Aarti came in front of him.

"I'm really very sorry for making you worry" He apologized, holding ears. Suraj forgave him somewhere, understanding his intention, also he know his son is not a weak person to commit suicide.

They returned to the Scindia mansion, Suraj asked Yash to take rest. Aarti also turned to leave the room as Suraj walked out.

"Aarti" Yash held her hand. She looked at him.

"Don't go anywhere" he pulled her close. She agreed and sat next to him. Soon a maid brings lunch for Yash. Aarti gave him medicine as he finished eating. Yash lay as Aarti forced him, she smiled sitting smoothing his hair but he is not ready to close eyes.

"Close your eyes." She asked. He nods no.

"Tum dobara mujhse door chali jaogi." he said.

"Nahi jaungi I promise." She promised. He pulled her near, she lay in his arms. He closed eyes, they both fell asleep feeling peace after age.

Later in the afternoon Yash woke up and saw Aarti who was sleeping peacefully so he didn't disturbed her and left to the bathroom as he stepped out she turned to the other side. He smiled leaning over her and dropped a gentle kiss on her cheek. She smiled with herself snuggling into soft spread. Yash left the room and found Suraj in the living room. He sat there, Suraj curiously asked why he is so attached to Aarti. Yash decided to tell him everything. Suraj gets shocked on finding out reality.

"Aajkal ke bacche kahan karte hain aisa pyaar, ek ke hote hue dusre ke baare mein sochne lagte hain." Suraj tells.

"You both are soulmates." Suraj said. Yash smiled nodding.

Later Aarti wakes up only to find Yash on the balcony, he is on a call. She left for the bathroom when she stepped out. Yash ended the call. He came near her, she smiled, feeling his lips on her forehead.

"I want to take you somewhere." He told her. She looked at him in confusion.

"Go get ready." He asked. She nods yes, leaving for her room.

"Where are you going?" Yash voice halted her steps.

"To my room." She told him. He held her hand and took her to the room next to his bedroom.

"This is your room" He tells as they step in.

"But Yash..." Aarti wants to tell him that she is staying in a servant room.

"You're not any servant" He grabbed her close by curling hand around her waist. She searched his eyes how he always decided the best for her.

"We are not married" she murmurs. He smirks.

"So you want to marry me" Yash teased her. Her eyes widened realizing what she just said.

"No, um..I mean..." She blushed looking down and tried to move away but he pulled her closer, her soft front crushed into his rock like chest.

"We already had our first night, and you still blush" He reminded her. She raised head astonished.

"Meri jungli billi" Yash eyes turn moist, he looked down. She cupped his face.

"I failed to save our baby" He cries, still not meeting her eyes.

"It's not your fault but our destiny failed us" Aarti realised that he came to know everything. Her hands went around his shoulders and she pulled him closer, hiding him in her arms. He clutches on to her more finding solace.
