Chapter 4

recap of part 2:- in the first part the lawyer talks to aman in the jail and tells him that he wants to fight  his case.... but aman refuses to apeal again, later the lawyer tells him that aman's wife jaya sent him here... after listening to this aman at last agrees, the lawyer thn goes out of the jail and tells jaya that aman agreed to again apeal in the court and she becomes very happy from aman's decision.. scene shifts, next day the lawyer asks aman to tell all the story of how he got aressted so he can make himself ready for the case, and aman starts telling the story.. he starts from darjeeling 13 years ago.. where he used to live with his parents and 2 sisters.. aman was an ambitious guy.. but his father wanted him to help him in his small shop.. later a big argument happens in their home and aman leaves the house.....and goes to mumbai....

 

part 3 begins......

 

scene currently at present....

 aman is talking to his lawyer

 

A:- this was my last meeting with my family, i knew that when i was leaving the house my father was sitting in his room crying, but that day nothing could stop me not even my parents tears..

 

L:- and then you left the house..

 

A:- certainly..

 

L:- wht happened after that???

 

(and then aman looked towards his lawyer and after a pause he said)

 

A:-then i went towards my destination in mumbai... first i went to my friend harry's office...

 

(now the scene goes to the flashback)

 

in this scene, right now harry was talking on the phone in his cabin when aman comes in and harry gets surprised to see him there...

 

H:- HEY!!! AMAN... COME IN....(and then he says on the phone), ok i will talk to u later..(and then aman and harry starts talking)

 

H:- SO, ultimately u' r here....

 

A: (aman smiles and say) .. yes

 

(harry feels that something is wrong with aman and he asks)

H:- what happened aman? u'r looking tensed... is there any problem??

(later aman tells harry about how he managed to came here and what arguments happened between him and his father)

 

H:- i really feel sorry for you, BUT NOW... u'r here in mumbai... and listen to me now... aman it is very easy to enter in this city.. but it is very difficult to survive here, u really have to work hard....

 

A:- yes harry... thats why i am here.. now as i have came here, now i will only focuss on my work...

 

H:- but how u will start ur work...

(aman smiles and says)

 

A:- ohh don't worry... i will do it...

 

scene shifts, after meeting harry, aman goes to the place where he is going to live from now onwards.. it was a chawl as aman was not having a good sum of money, so he got a place in a chawl... when he enters the place.. he see that so many families are living there, everyone are busy talking, the whole enviorment was different from his home town in darjeeling.. everything seemed to be unrelated to him,,, he see many children are playing.. he take his bag and asks a child.....

 

A:- hiii, can u tell me where is B-65,

(the child, looks at aman in a strange manner, and then he says)

Child:- r u new here..

(aman smiles and says)

A:- yes..

 

Child:- come.. i will show u the way..

(while moving upstairs, the smart little brat do a lot of inquiry)

Child:- where r u from???

 

A:- well, i am from darjeeling... and whats ur name??

 

C:- ohh my name is shahrukh...

 

(aman gets a little surprised he smiles and asks)

A:- shahrukh??

 

C:- yes, as i am his big fan... and everyday i acts like so everyone calls me shahrukh junior....

 

A:- okk mr shahrukh junior... now where is my room

 

C:- can u see the front door...

(aman looks at it)

A:- yes..

 

C;- that's ur room..

 

A:- thank you... srk junior...

(the child says proudly)

 

C:- ohhh.... never mind

(and then aman opens the lock of the door and goes inside, he see it was only one room with a kitchen and bathroom.. and the room was really dirty and aman feels irritated on this and says)

 

A:- ohhh god... what kind of place is this.... harry was right.. it's easy to come here.. but difficult to survive... (aman says this and smiles at himself)

(and then a voice comes from back)

 

excuse me!!!!

(and aman looks at the door step, he see that a very average looking girl was standing in front of him... she was wearing a suit.. her hair was tightly tied up with lots of hair oil... dark complexion and big spectacles.. aman makes a face after watching her and says to himself)

 

A:- is she jassi from jassi jaisi koi nahi???

 

The girl:- can i come in???

 

A:- yaa sure, pls come...

 

The girl:- hello, my name is anupama (aamna sharif)... i am ur landlord's daughter...

(aman notices that the girl was really unconfident while speaking)

 

A:- okkk.. and what can i do for u???

 

Anu:- dad.. sent me to collect the advance rent of 2 months...

 

A;- ohh god.. i thought he will take the money for one month....

(anupama looks confused)...

 

A:- OK.. do one thing... plsssss.. tell ur father to take the rent for one month... because it is not possible for me to give 2 months rent.. pls plss

(anupama could not refuse him... and she takes the money... nods her head and leaves the room)

 

A;- THANK YOU VERY MUCH...

 

scene shifts.... in the evening aman comes and stands at the balcony... and after a while he see that an old woman was scolding anupama very badly... aman see this and he do not likes that... at the same time junior shahrukh was passing from aman's back... aman looks at him and calls him..

 

A:- HEY!!! junior srk... wait...

(the boy comes towards aman)

 

SRK junior:- yesss, what can i do for you...

(aman then points to anupama and asks the child)

 

SRk juniour:- ohhhh.. that girl... well she is anupama...

 

A:- stupid i also know that... but what i want to know is.. why that women is scolding her so badly...

 

SRk juniour:- well that is a regular scene...

 

A:- means??

 

SRk juniour:- means??? that old woman is her step mother, she is a greedy woman... she do not understand anything except money... anu didi, is the only one earning and feeding her family... she is having two more younger sisters... her father is paralysed.. so he do not have any say in the family matters.....anu didi's step mother do not wish her to get married and settle down.. till her other two daughters do not get settled...

 

A:- this woman is so cheap.... but what happened today

 

SRk juniour:- well that i don't know.. u ask it from her... but be careful

 

A:- why??

 

SRk juniour:- as anu didi do not speak to boys and if her mother saw u speaking to her she... will like kill u...

(aman then smiles and say.)

 

A:- don't worry SRk juniour...... ab to tumhari anu didi se milna hi parega..... (now i have to talk to you anu didi).....
