Chapter 7

            Kavya never returned home last night, instead he goes for a long drive and endsup at Lover's Point. He strolls around remembering the day he and Anjali professed their love for one another. He sits on the same cliff they had sat on and he thinks about how selfish Anjali is being and trying to calm down his own anger enough to talk, heck to even look at her. Kavya had fallen asleep in his car last night instead of going home. Anjali was a complete mess last night, crying about Kavya, about the baby, about her career. It all just didn't seem fair to her. Anjali decides in the morning she needs someone to talk to, so she decides to talk to Prachi at the hospital.

Prachi had somehow managed to convince Neev that she is okay enough to go to work. Anjali enters Prachi's clinic and finds that Prachi is with a patient. Anjali decides to walk around the floor and accidently stumbles over a room where another gynecologist is performing an ultrasound on a woman who looked ready to pop any time now. Anjali can hear the heartbeat loudly and clearly of the woman's baby. Her own hand instinctively falls upon her own stomach. Anjali lets a small tear escape her eye at the thought that she was going to abort her own child. She suddenly feels so angry at herself for having even considered it. She forces herself to continue walking until she hears a woman practically begging her doctor, "Please Dr. Kapoor there must be some way for you to save my baby! Please save my child! She is only a couple days old! Please do something!" The doctor answered, "We are trying our best Ms. Singh" The woman continues to plead with the doctor to save her child. Anjali feels even guiltier for thinking about aborting her baby. Anjali continues walking down the corridor and finds the baby nursey with about thirty newborns. Anjali starts smile as she sees a little baby smile at her.

Anjali turns around and bumps into Prachi. Anjali explains that she needs to talk to someone. Anjali goes with Prachi to private room and fills her in about her fight with Kavya along with her hopes and dreams. Prachi is shocked that Anjali had even considered something so drastic, but could understand where she was coming from because it had been her life long dream to be a model. Prachi is silent for a minute and then she suddenly has a brilliant idea. Prachi says, "What about clothes Anju? I mean you have always had a good fashion sense so why not take a little break from modeling and pursue a career in fashion designing. I heard from Kripa you do a fantastic job at helping the fashion designers at Khash. Then after you have the baby, you can start getting back into shape and pursue modeling." Anjali carefully considers that and says, "That's not a bad idea actually I mean I always have been into designing and I have made a terrible mistake in being so selfish. I get it now that this is our child, I mean my own blood. I guess I never fully grasped what it meant to be pregnant…Oh God I have hurt Kavya so much! You should have seen the look on his face Prachi, he was so hurt! He didn't even want to look at me anymore!" Prachi gives the teary eyed girl a hug saying, "Anju it's alright, just talk to him and I'm sure he will understand! I know my brother, he will come around!" Anjali quickly hugs Prachi whispering, "You know you really are smart! Thanks for helping!!" Prachi says, "Anytime Anju! That's what friends are for!" Anjali quickly leaves.

As soon as Kripa and Angad return home, Angad sets out to find Neev, whereas Kripa tries to find Prachi. Kripa finds Prachi in her bedroom. Prachi and Kripa fill each other in about Neev and Angad's reactions to the news, along with filling Kripa in about Anjali and Kavya's situation. Angad finds Neev in the living room watching television so he decides to join him. Angad notices that Neev isn't really paying attention to the television and is actually staring off into space. Angad asks, "Neev what's wrong man?" Neev says slowly, "Prachi is pregnant!" Angad chokes on his water saying, "Congrats man and even you are gonna be an uncle!" Neev looks shocked, "Wait Kripa is pregnant too?" Angad nods. Neev says slowly, "Angad I don't think I'm ready to be a father" Angad replies, "Don't worry you'll be a great father I know it! Besides you were able to become a surgeon, even though a lot of people didn't think you could." Neev shrugs, "Yea, but without Prachi I wouldn't have been able to become a surgeon!" Angad says reassuringly, "Prachi will always be with you! Plus you got me, Krips, Anju, and Kavya! Don't stress about it too much! You'll be a great dad and an awesome uncle!" Neev laughs, "I hope so, Thanks man I needed that little pep talk!" Angad laughs, "Yea more like you just wanted to inflate your already inflated ego!" Neev laughs, "My inflated ego? You're joking right! You're ego is so huge it has its own area code!"

Before Angad can retort, Kavya bursts through the Khanna House and plops himself on the couch with Angad and Neev. Kavya looks completely exhausted. Before Angad and Neev even have a chance to ask Kavya says, "Anjali's pregnant." Neev and Angad says, "Her too?" Kavya looks at the both of them strangely asking, "Wait Prachi and Kripa are also pregnant?" Angad and Neev nod. Kavya smacks his forehead, "Ok well atleast tell me they don't want an abortion!" Angad and Neev stand up yelling, "Hell no!" Kavya sighs, "Good, because Anjali does…" Angad and Neev yell, "What? Do you know what you're saying?" Kavya looks at the both of them annoyed, "Yes I know what I'm saying! She's too worried about being a freaking model then to care about our child that's growing inside her! I don't know what to do! I took off last night after I yelled at her. I want to talk to her calmly but even the thought of her reminds me that she cares more about her career than our child…" Angad says, "I can't believe Anju would even think about it! Look man, just try to rationalize with her, she's just a little upset right now but I'm sure she will cool down! Meanwhile YOU need to cool down and talk to her… NOT YELL BUT TALK!" Kavya nods and gets up from the couch to go home and talk to Anjali.

Anjali sits in her room sobbing on the bed when Kavya comes in. He sits on the bed and notices Anjali's swollen red eyes. Anjali sniffles, "I'm sorry Kavya!" She then breaks into violent sobs. Kavya puts his feelings aside and encircles her in his arms while cradeling her. Anjali says, "I'm sorry I was so selfish Kavya, I'm sorry I even thought about aborting our child! I never meant to hurt you! Kavya you're more important to me than a stupid job, and this baby, our baby is more important than a stupid job." Kavya says, "I'm sorry too! I should have tried to understand! Are you sure you're okay with this?" Anjali nods while wiping her tears away and replies, "I think I gonna try to pursue fashion designing, I mean I'm good at that and I like it too! Then when I able to look like my old self again, I'll try modeling again…" Kavya smiles, "I'm so proud of you Anju! You're going to be a great mother, I just know it!" Anjali hugs Kavya tighter, "I hope so, but I know one thing… that you're already an amazing father!" Kavya whispers, "Hey did you know Kripa and Prachi are pregnant?" Anjali nods, "Yup we found out all together! Guess what so are Aaliya and Mukti!" Kavya laughs, "Whoa really? I think we do too much stuff as a group!" Anjali laughs, "True, but there is never a dull moment with all of us!"

The gang finally breaks the news of the pregnancy when the blood reports come back from the lab confirming that all three were in fact pregnant. Their parents are quite ecstatic that there would be three little grandchildren for them to play with in around eight months. Suprisingly, their delievery days are pretty close to each other… who would have thought?

lol so that was the end to the drama huh lol! yea... i didn't want to drag it out especially since i was trying to end it soon! but yea umm that was next part! i know there was a LOT of kavya-anjali in this part! umm arite so the only thing i will say about the next part is: THREE MONTHS LATER!
