Chapter 38

Angad, Kripa, Kavya, Anjali, Neev, and Prachi are still bored out of their minds on stage. Well that is until Prem and Mukti came and it happens to be a rather funny sight. Prem looks like he got the wind knocked out of him and he looks totally beat. Mukti is wearing a green sari, upon Prem's request. Prem is wearing a beige sherwani with a hint of green. Well eventually they make their way towards the stage and the one question that resides on everyone's mind is "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU PREM??" Angad asks this bluntly only to get a cold glare from Prem as he says, "I'm going to go to the bathroom and fix myself up" Angad sniggers to Kripa, "That's so girly of him, to fix himself up in the bathroom" Kripa laughs at Angad's comment.

When Prem finally leaves Mukti turns to the gang and whispers, "HAHAHAHA you wanna know what happened to him before he drove to my house" Everyone nods rapidly, eager to listen to Prem's embarrassing story. Mukti begins, "Well he was driving to pick me up and stopped at an intersection. Then some vendor guy comes up to his window begging him to buy a flower. Well Prem finally agrees and take out his wallet. When Prem turns back to the vendor the guy has a gun in his hand. Well the vendor guy snatches the wallet and grabs Prem's cellphone from the dashboard and presses the trigger of the gun and WATER came out. Then the guy took off yelling, "SUCKER!!!" Prem started chasing the guy, only it's not a guy! IT WAS A GIRL! PREM GOT ROBBED BY A GIRL!!! HAHAHA…AND HE COULDN'T EVEN CHASE AFTER HER!!" Everyone broke out into laughter, mocking at his stupidity and horrible running capabilities.

Prem then returns and everyone tries to hide their smile, but all are intently looking at Prem for a reaction. Prem snaps at them because of their stare, "WHAT?" Kavya replies, "God you're so slow, did you run all the way back the stage from the bathroom!" Anjali replies, "Kavya come on maybe he got HELD UP!" Everyone laughs really hard at this while Prem turns to Mukti horrified, "YOU TOLD THEM?" Mukti says innocently, "No of course not…HAHAHA!" Prem sees Josh and Aaliya enter, Josh is wearing a red sherwani while Aaliya wears a red sari. Prem decides to hang with Josh and Aaliya and keep them from talking to the rest of the gang to prevent them from finding out his embarrassing encounter.

Prem walks up to Josh and Aaliya and says, "Hey guys what took so long?" Josh and Aaliya look at each other and break out into laughter, "We just saw a live show…HAHAHA" Prem doesn't get the joke and continues, "Oh…I guess it was a funny one…" Aaliya gasps for breath saying, "Yea…HAHA" Prem says, "Well what was it about?" Josh replies, "Oh it was about a guy driving his car and stopping at a red light" Prem thinks, "OH CRAP" Josh continues, "then he gets ROBBED by the flower guy, only it's not a guy it was a GIRL!!!" Prem replies, "Umm yea sounds really boring!!!" Prem starts to walk back to the gang and Josh shouts, "You wanna know who the main lead was…HAHAHA" Josh and Aaliya calm themselves down and go to the gang and Prem basically blushes and groans from the embarrassment. Mukti gives him a kiss on the cheek and all is forgotten by Prem. Love can do strange things to people, apparently wipe out embarrassment as well.

Soon Josh, Aaliya, Prem and Mukti settle at a table near the stage and engage in their own conversation. Meanwhile, on stage Prachi is apparently still mad at Neev for saying all that nonsense to Naina. She feels Neev embarrassed her in front of her mother-in-law and not to mention fell on top of her. She is pretty pissed off at him and still has a fake smile on her face, although the Prem story makes her a little cheery. Neev wishes like the others, he could hold Prachi's hand and talk sweet nothings in her ear, but nope he has to sit on stage and smile to the aunties and uncles.

Kavya and Anjali are sitting quite peacefully, but of course bored. It's a stage, what can one possibly do except just smile and look pretty for the camera. Kavya decides to bug Anjali, so his hand starts to move up her back, which stops all her movements. He reaches her string ties at the back of her blouse and smiles rather devilishly. He starts slowly pulling the strings looser. Anjali looks back at Kavya completely terrified as she whispers, "KAVYA STOP IT!!" Kavya whispers, "No." Anjali then replies, "I'm gonna tell Angad bhai and Neev bhai, then watch what they will do!" Kavya replies, "Are you threatening me?" Anjali replies, "It's not a threat it's a promise sweetheart, now let go?" Kavya grins, "Then prove it!" Anjali is about to yell, but Kavya jerks back his hand in an instant. Anjali looks at Kavya rather amused and laughs upon his scared behavior.

Angad's hand too keeps caressing Kripa's practically bare back. He had his eye fixated on her the moment he saw her and he decides to torture her a little. It is so not easy to smile for the camera, while Angad keeps sending shivers down her spine with his sensual touches. Angad has a huge smirk on his face seeing the effect he has on his Krips, it is obvious that even she has fallen prey to Angad's charm. He tends to have that affect on girls. Kripa glares at Angad since there is not much she can do. Unlike Anjali, Kripa doesn't even think about threatening him. Although she doesn't want to admit it, she likes having him fool around with her. It makes her feel…loved and wanted.

Soon people start coming to take pictures with the couples on stage and the ring ceremony would begin shortly after that. They are all getting so impatient on stage because well it is quite tiring, not to mention blinding with the lights so focused on them. Now finally it is time for the engagement and the parents join their children on stage. Prem, Mukti, Josh, and Aaliya also make their way to the stage and join their friends in their happy moment.

The first couple to exchange rings happens to be Neev and Prachi. Naina hands Neev, Prachi's engagement ring. Neev gently places the ring on Prachi's delicate finger. He smiles while Prachi seems to be frowning. That one touch of his, seems to stir up these unwanted feelings in her, unwanted because at the moment she wants to stay angry at him. Prachi basically shoves the ring onto his finger in anger knowing it must have hurt a little. Neev then gives her these big puppy dog eyes while also pulling out his bottom lip. Prachi couldn't help but laugh at his expressions and playfully slaps his arms. Neev gives her a big hug to which everyone says, "AWWWWWW HOW CUTE!" Prachi decides to forget her anger, since it's one of the happiest days of her life.

Next to place the wedding rings is Kavya and Anjali. While Kavya grabs Anjali's hand, he keeps caressing it, making Anjali really ticklish and giddy. He places the ring on her finger slowly, but keeping his intense eyes locked with hers. She blushes looking at his passionate eyes. He then gives her a soft kiss on her cheek, which surprises her as her mouth drops open. She is red from embarrassment since there are so many people present around them. Josh and Prem whistle at Kavya's kiss while the guests laugh at the boys' rowdiness. Anjali then places the ring, looking at his hand, not his eyes. She doesn't kiss him so Kavya pouts, "Where is my kiss?" a little too loudly because everyone overhears and laugh at the Kavya's eagerness.

Finally, it is now Angad and Kripa's turn to exchange rings. Angad slowly takes Kripa's hand and gently slips the ring onto her petite finger. Then he goes ahead and kisses her hand, making everyone sigh, "Haiii! Kya pyaar hai!" Kripa and Angad turn red at everyone's comment. Kripa then grabs his hand and looks into his eyes. She knows Angad really wanted to hear her compliment his looks, but she didn't and the truth is he really looks smoking HOT! Kripa rolls her tongue in her mouth and starts checking him out, up and down with naughty eyes. She is a little too busy checking him out because she doesn't seem to notice the deafening silence. Dilip nudges Kripa to break away from her trance of checking out his son. He whispers, "Beta, Angad ko badmein ghoor lena, abhi to anghuti phena do!" Kripa snaps out of her little daydream replying, "Huh? Oh!" Kripa realizes what she is doing and now sees a smirk on Angad's lips as he understands what she was doing. Kripa slips on the ring and launches herself into Angad's arms while he lightly kisses her forehead.

Everyone starts applauding the three perfect couples. It really is a perfect family and everything seemed to work out just the way the parents had always desired. The photographers click away at the very happy family. Life just seems so perfect at the moment, hopefully this bliss would last them a lifetime.

When the food is served, the couples remain on stage starving, while watching the aunties and uncles chow down on the delicious food. Naina and Gayatri come to the stage with three plates of food and say, "We will bring three more plates" Angad replies, "No mom its okay, hum log manage karlenge!" Naina replies, "Aise kaise…" Gayatri stops Naina by whispering, "Rehne do, lagta hain ek doosre ko kilana chahte hain! Kash inka pyaar yuhi baney rahein!" Naina and Gayatri smile at their happy children and walks towards their husbands.

Neev and Prachi start feeding each other. Actually, Neev is making Prachi chase after the food in his hand. He keeps moving it away as soon as Prachi gets close enough to eating the food. It is annoying the starving Prachi and she starts to pout. Neev smiles as she gets a hold of his hand and eats. Prachi decides to do the same thing to Neev, but instead of chasing after the food Neev would kiss Prachi on the cheek which would shock her enough to stop moving her hands so he could eat.

Kavya and Anjali are basically negotiating. It consists of Kavya saying, "Give me a kiss and you get food!" Anjali whispers back loudly, "Are you crazy? There are people over here! I'll eat it myself! JERK!" Kavya stops her from taking at bite. Kavya gives her a kiss instead and saying, "Okay fine, no kiss from you, but you will owe me plenty after tonight!" Anjali smiles as he continues to feed her. Anjali would give Kavya food when he says one nice thing about Anjali. Isn't she conceited? At the moment Kavya thinks so laughing in his mind as he comes up with more lies.

Angad and Kripa are a different story. They are in a rather mischievous mood. Kripa keeps biting Angad's hand on purpose, though Angad is totally enjoying their comfort zone after so many days apart. When it is Kripa's turn to feed, Angad would bite her hands as well, which made them laugh at their silly behavior.

So now all the couples are finally engaged to their beloveds and they just can't wait to get married. The guests have already left and now so are the Sharma's. Kavya, Kripa and Prachi leave so unwillingly, wishing they can stay there forever.
