Chapter 15

   

 

          We ate our food, talking about nothing and everything. Angad dropped me off at my dorm room, with a wave.  I walked into my room and saw that Alliyah was fast asleep. I fixed her blanket and switched off all the lights, except for one.

          I took a quick shower, and changed into my comfortable PJ's. before going to bed, I checked my email and replied to all the messages. Finally, I was ready for bed.

          Now, as I was getting into bed, my phone vibrated. Groaning, I picked it up.

          "Hello?" I said.

          "Hey babe" It was Prithvi.

          "Um hey." I replied.

          "So how was your day?" he asked. I relaxed. He always called me at night.

          "It was good. The gift shop was sucky. But then all the staff members gotta watch a show."

          "Ok. So how come you weren't picking up your phone? I called you five times."

          "Oh. Um. My phone was on silent, I guess."

          "Right." He said.

          We talked some more. Somehow, after talking to Angad, talking to Prithvi seemed like a pain. With Angad my words came out perfectly. But with Prithvi I had to think.

          "Listen Prithvi, I really gotta go to bed. I have to get up early tomorrow."

          "Really? How come? I thought you had a free day tomorrow?"

          Crap.

          "Uh. Actually I have to cover for my roommate."

          "Aight. Bye. I love you."

          "Hmhm."

          I hung up. I just couldn't bring myself to tell him that the reason I was going to wake up early tomorrow was to go on the boating trip with Angad and everyone.
