Chapter 15:
Earlier that evening
In the Gym: Yudi, Pooja, Ali, Aalekh & Huda
"Guys I've got news!" Yudi said as quietly as such an excited person could. His eyes were shining with glee and triumph. Pooja, Ali, Aalekh and Huda gathered around him making sure no one else was in the gym. "Naina…"
*Flashback*
… A phone call for Abhimanyu…
… Him handing it over to Naina…
… "… it's not Huda!... Raj… naam keh diya…"…
… Silence; then the orderly ending the call…
… Naina looking dazed as she walked towards the girls' dormitory…
*End of Flashback*
"So? What do you guys think?" Yudi asked expectantly. Aalekh and Huda looked thoughtful, while Pooja's look matched Yudi's.
"Hai…" she whispered dreamily. Ali was smiling at the news, and it broadened as he looked at his wife.
"We know she was definitely talking to Rajveer Sir, but what was she talking about?"
"She was talking about the Ball. She said "it's not Huda"; she probably meant I'm not her date… but I'm sure even mummyji wouldn't know what the next part meant!" Huda said, thinking hard.
"But the best part is that… she called him 'Raj'! How romantic is that?!" Pooja said clasping her hands together.
"Very, Cadet Ghai." A voice came from the doorway. Instead of their smiles slipping away like in the past, they broadened as he approached them. Abhimanyu looked at the positive reaction they had to him, realizing how truly idiotic he had been in the past, being jealous of his friend.
"Can we help, in this mission of yours?" Shalini said from a behind Abhimanyu.
"Of course you can. We do need help… we have absolutely no idea what's going on between them!" Yudi exclaimed before anyone else could answer.
"But Nandini does." Abhimanyu stated. Seeing their uneasy faces, he explained, "Don't worry, she's not a villain in this story. She wants to help too… she already did in fact! She called me today, asking to speak to Naina… I guess it wasn't her Naina was speaking to though." The way the five's expression changed from distrust to gratitude was a wonder; Nandini was right, pulling this stunt would benefit her with their trust besides Rajveer and Naina.
"Oh Sir, when is Captain Rajveer's trial?" Aalekh asked.
"On the day of the Ball. Don't be disappointed though, Nandini is an expert at this area, and when she says the case is looking positively solid, it means something. Now, aren't you guys going to express your support to him for the trial?"
"I'm sure Captain Rajveer doesn't need our support line after getting Naina's!" Pooja told him.
"After getting my what?" Naina asked, getting both amused and confused at their shocked faces and nervous fidgeting. She was definitely going to find out what they were all up to tonight.

Guest House, Delhi: Rajveer & Nandini
"What did she say?" she asked once more. Rajveer sighed and massaged his temple, annoyed from his friend pestering him. He knew this was one of her specialties; she knew how to get information out of people very well. In his case, it was by annoying him; it had worked ninety five percent of the times.
"Nandini, I'm going to bed. And she just said that the preparations for the Ball are ready, and encouraged me for the trial, as all my students would." He got up, his mind swimming with thoughts of Naina.
"Raj…" he loved hearing it from her voice, the way she said it, the emotions behind it…
"I'm sure that they'll clear you of all charges…" did she know how much she boosted his confidence, with this one simple sentence?
"… be able to come to the Ball…" he wanted to go, to see her, to be with her… did she want it too?
"Naam keh diya…" she couldn't possibly mean that… but she had said it… there was hope!
"Raj?! What's wrong?" Nandini asked in a fake worried voice. Her friend had stopped midway of going to his room, deeply lost in his thoughts. She shook her head in amusement with the thought of love. It was good that she didn't fancy him anymore, or else both Rajveer and Naina would be in deep trouble now! But now that she was determined in getting those two together, she would do it no matter what came in her way.
"Huh? Oh nothing… I was just…" he looked flustered, and stopped trying to make excuses seeing her amused expression. Going to his room he closed the doors, leaning back on them. How could he go to sleep with all these thoughts? He closed his eyes.

His eyes shot open. He walked over to his bed, messily lying down despite his organized character. Trying to control his breath, he closed his eyes again.

This time, he welcomed the flashes of the gorgeous girl with amazing innocence and simplicity. Soon, he fell into deep slumber, forgetting his insecurities about the case or if she liked him or not. He was enveloped with the dazzling images of her, the remarkable feeling of love.RJOpal 39289.0794560185
