Chapter 2: Part 2
"Sir, some people are coming! You have leave, or hide, or else they'll see you!" Aalekh whispered, peeking out through the curtain-draped window (he and Huda had done it earlier that evening). "You people go, and I'll stay!" saying this, he took out his bottle. "I'll pretend to be drinking."
"You don't need to pretend that!" Ali remarked disapprovingly. One by one, they started going out the back door, looking out for whoever was coming.
"Listen, you guys split up so that if one group gets caught all of you won't be punished. I'll contact you for your next moves anyway I can, but don't try to find me!" Rajveer explained urgently and got ready to leave. He was stopped by Naina's hand on his shoulder.
"No Sir, I'm coming with you! If you get caught, I can distract whoever it is and you can go, but this time I'm not going to let you go alone!"
*Flashback*
…Rajveer telling Naina and Abhimanyu about the second CD…
…Naina asking him if he was sure he wanted to go alone…
…Rajveer falling into Major Nair's trap…
*End of Flashback*
"We don't have much time, come on Phoolan!" Huda tried to pull Naina away but she firmly stood beside Capt. Rajveer. Seeing her determination, Yudi pulled Huda towards the straight route leading to the hostels, while Ali and Pooja went the on the other route.
"Raj, Naina's right, she should go with you. I'll go with Dr. Shalini, now go!" Abhimanyu gave them a push, looking back to see why Dr. Shalini wasn't out yet. Peeking inside, he saw Suriji talking, and Dr. Shalini and Aalekh's troubled faces, so he decided to go in.
Inside: Dr. Shalini, Aalekh & Suriji
"Dr. Shalini?? Aap… yahaan kya kar rahe hain?? Aur who bhi Aalekh ke saath… oye-" Suriji's eyes widened as ideas started pouring in his head. Shalini and Aalekh exchanged uneasy glances.
"Well… Suriji… darasal… you see…" Shalini tried to think of an explanation, but Aalekh cut her off.
"Kya hain ki… I saw Dr. Shalini walking around KMA when I went to the kitchen to get some food… she came here so I followed her!"
"What??!!" both Suriji and Shalini exclaimed.
"Yeah… but she didn't seem to be awake, though her eyes were open… I've seen her like that before too… once when Major Nair tried to stop her she slapped him, so I didn't disturb her." Aalekh said as fast as he could, praying that it would work.
"She was walking around KMA after midnight… in a sleeping state but her eyes were open… she slapped Major Nair… puttar tu kya keh raha hain mujhe to kuch bhi samajh mein nahin aa raha hain!" Suriji scratched his beard in confusion, and luckily that's when Abhimanyu came in.
"Any problems? Is there a party here, and I wasn't invited? Suriji, where's everyone else?" he asked jokingly, but the confused Suriji couldn't detect that, and instead he got even more confused.

Near the Boys' Hostel: Yudi & Huda
They were sneaking in from a door that led to the storeroom, because it was safer and closer to their room.
"Our Captain is truly awesome, chief! No one can deny that." Yudi told Huda.
"Shh! Careful Yudiye! My mummyji says that even walls have ears…" Huda warned him in a hushed tone, looking around.
"Right… anyway, I can't wait for tomorrow man! Our mi- I mean the arrangements for the Ball starts tomorrow…" Yudi rubbed his hands in delight, his eyes shining with thrill. The excitement was almost radiating from him. He turned to look at Huda, who had a thoughtful expression on.
"Oh I know that look… you've got a plan! Come on, tell me!"
"Why wait for tomorrow to start the arrangements, when we can start now?" Huda smiles at Yudi suggestively.
"Dude, you've gone mad." Yudi replies flatly. Huda leaned his arm on Yudi's shoulder, and explains the plan, which changes Yudi's expression almost immediately.

Near the Girls' Hostel: Ali & Pooja
It was unusually quiet between the two as they headed towards their destination. Although they were a couple, neither had voiced out their feelings yet.
"So…" Ali started.
"Uh…" Pooja said at the same time.
"Yes? You go first." Pooja smiled at his politeness.
"Captain Rajveer is really amazing, right?" Ali looked a bit disappointed at this.
"Oh… yes he is… Pooja! Careful, anyone could be around…" he warned her. She was irritated at this, and stopped, turning to face him fully.
"Careful, that's what you always are!" she exclaimed. "Ali, it's not good to be so careful all the time. Sometimes you have to take risks!"
"I know that, but right now-" Pooja cut him off, getting even more upset.
"Right now? Only right now? Ali if I told you that… that… I love you and want to marry you right now, would you ever agree? No, right?" Tears were spilling down her cheeks as she demanded to know his choice, either to go with his principles and stay careful, or to follow his heart and take risks.
Ali stood facing her speechlessly, trying to make his choice.

Near the side wall of KMA, hidden by the bushes and trees: Captain Rajveer & Naina
They were moving as quietly and swiftly as the uneven ground would allow them to. Rajveer stopped to take some rest under a tree, as he wasn't his usual fit self from the lack of food and rest. He closed his eyes, breathing in the cool fresh air passing by them, while Naina looked at him with a mixture of feelings.
She was about to say something to break the silence, but a soft sound distracted her. It was coming from the opposite direction from where they had come. She glanced at Rajveer, but he hadn't heard it, so she lightly put a hand on his shoulder, indicating they should go.
He quietly got up, and suddenly pulled her with him behind the tree trunk. He put his hand over her mouth, which sped up her heartbeat for some reason. When he peeked out, what he saw nearly turned his blood cold.
Rajveer knew they wouldn't be able to hide like this, so he tried to think of a plan. Unfortunately, luck was not on their side yet, so Naina peeked out also, and was welcomed by…
"Well well well… Cadet Naina Singh Ahluwalia!" Major Bhargav sneered. "Oh, and her - loving - mentor, Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat! Brings back memories Captain... surely you remember your days as a cadet? In the jungle, with your lovely girlfriend Nandini…"
"But this time it is a different case, isn't it? Then you two were carefree lovers… now it's an escaped convict with his student, ex-student I mean!" He smirked as Naina sharply looked at Rajveer. He just glared at Bhargav, forming a plan to escape without Naina getting into trouble.
