Chapter 35

EPISODE-35

 

 

It was Rajveer. Naina took a sigh of relief as he came. A smile came on her lips and she looked relieved. They all were finally together..... Safe and sound.

 

"Yeh le aa gaya Rajveer. Ab jitna shout karna hai kar le." Navin told her.

"Shout?"

"Tab se meri jaan kha rahi thi yeh ki Raj abhi tak aaya khun nahin hai."

Rajveer looked at her. She didn't say anything. A smile came on her face. Rajveer also smiled back. They didn't speak anything to each other... They didn't had to. They understood each other perfectly.... or atleast they thought so. Naina gave a peck at Navin's forehead and left the room. Navin lied down to relax a bit before they leave and Rajveer stayed back with him. Everything was ready and they had to leave at the decided time. Just one hour to go.

 

Naina was standing in the backyard of the house. Cold breeze was blowing. It had rained a little just an hour back. It felt nice. It had a kind of soothing effect on her. All her pain, fear and suffering were slowly dying down. Suddenly a strand of her hair entered her eyes. She tried a lot to take that out but couldn't do that. Suddenly she felt someone's fingers on her temple. The next moment the strand of hair came out. But those fingers were making her numb. But they felt nice. She turned to see Rajveer standing there. A little smile came on her face. They were looking at each other straight into their eyes.

 

Suddenly a thunderbolt startled her. He chuckled. She was embarrassed and she lowered her eyes. The wind was getting stronger. Naina's loose hairs were all falling over her face. Rajveer came closer. He removed them from her face and tucked them behind her ears. Naina looked up into his eyes again. He smiled back. Soon they were lost in each other's eyes. His finger slid from behind her ears to her neck and began tracing her collar bone. They forgot everything else around. His touch sent quivers to her heart. She shivered and took a step closer. She could feel his breath over her face caressing her.

 

They didn't know what they were doing or for that matter what they wanted to do. They allowed those beautiful magical moments of their togetherness take over them, without realisisng what they were getting into. They didn't mind the growing intimacy between them. They were enjoying being so close to each other. He lifted her face lowering his own. Their heartbeats were getting faster. He took Naina's hand in his other hand and pulled her more closer. Naina closed her eyes. Their faces were so close that as her lips parted it brushed against his lips. She was looking beautiful, standing with her eyes closed, under the faint moonlight...... Beautiful enough to make him forget everything else in the world. He didn't waste even a single moment to reach her lips. Naina also responded instantly. Their lips were sealed in their first kiss. With every passing moment, their fervor was mounting. Their passion was taking over them. But before their passion could reach the insurmountable heights, the kiss was broken and so was the beautiful moment with the coughing sound that came from the house.

 

They looked at each other in shock as they came back to reality and found themselves in each other's arms.... KISSING!!! They quickly separated and turned their faces away from each other. Their bodies were shivering and their senses denied them any explanation for their act. They realized that they were in some other zone for sometime. They wanted to know why and how could they do what they have just done. They were embarrassed and angry on themselves. Naina ran inside to check on Navin who was coughing badly. Rajveer stood their like a statue trying hard to hate himself for his impulsive act. A few minutes later he fell down on his knees. He was in tears..... He closed his eyes.

 

He could see the flashes of the moments, good and bad, they have spent together. The first time they met and Naina kissed him on his cheeks; The moments when they tried to flirt to make Navin angry; The time when they sat in the car holding each other's hand without realizing it before he left for the war; Every time she clung to him and he held her tightly and she cried for Navin; The night in the Hotel room when she slept comfortably in his arms and now, when they were actually kissing each other. Each laughter, every tear, every hug they have shared flashed in front of his eyes. Their relationship had gone through several phases. It stood and infact it strengthened with time... whether good or bad. But this phase was something that even he could not figure out where they were heading or if it meant an end to everything they had between them.

 

He was feeling guilty for being so close to her. He was feeling guilty for letting her come so close to him. He was feeling guilty for permitting her to become the most important person in his life. He was feeling guilty to allow himself fall in love with her...... Yes... It was love. That was the only answer for all his doubts and questions. He wanted to know how he could do this to Naina. But now he knew... He could... because He Loved Her!!!!
