Rajveer was frantically looking for something in Naina's bag.

"Raj kya kar rahe ho? What are you doing?"

"Naina Navin ka photograph kahan hai?"

"Woh to.... ek minute." Naina took out a picture from her handbag and gave it to Rajveer.

"Ye lo.... But why do you want this?"

"Listen to me very carefully Naina.... Main bahar jaa raha hoon and I'll need around 3 to 4 hours to return. Jab tak main wapas nahin aa jaata you are not stepping out of here. Do you understand that?"

"Lekin tum jaa kahan rahe ho?"

"Abhi mera jaana bahut zaroori hai Naina and God willing I'll return with some news about Navin."

"What....... But kasie?"

"Naina har jagah kuch aise log zaroor hote hain jo paison ke liye kuch bhi karne ke liye tayyar ho jaate hain. I have found one such man working in the Army Prison."

"Really...... Raj main bhi tumhare saath chalungi."

"Nahin Naina you can't come...... Maine usse kaha hai ki main yahan akela aaya hoon. So that, just in case, woh baad mein pakda bhi jaata hai to uske paas se hamare baare mein poori information kisi ke haath nahin lagegi. We will have to take precautions."

"Woh sab to theek hai Raj but......"

"Naina...... you trust me....Dont you?"

"Of course I do Raj."

"Then just stay back."

"Theek hai... But come back soon."

Rajveer came back in the evening. It was almost dark.

"Raj kahan reh gaye the tum? You said you need 3 to 4 hours but you took almost 8 hours. I was so scared. Kya hua? Kuch bataya usne. Any news about Bhaiyya...Raj...Dammit.... say something."

Rajveer's expressions and his silence didn't gave her a good sign. She was scared. Her apprehensions brought her close to tears.

"Raj....Please tell me ki Bhaiyya is fine."

He looked up at her. He closed his eyes to hide his own tears. He took a small pause and finally answered her.

"Kal tak Navin yahin tha."

"Tha matlab?"

" Kal Navin ko yahan se doosri prison mein shift kiya jaa raha tha...... somewhere around Shekhpura. Lekin Raaste mein hi Navin managed to escape. He shot two officers on duty and injured the rest of them and ran away."

Naina took a sigh of relief.

"Raj yeh to achchi news hai."

"Nahin..."

"Matlab?"

"Pehli baat Navin hamari reach se door hota jaa raha hai ....."

"But hum phir bhi unhein dhoondh lenge."

"I know but..... He's shot in his leg."

"What?" she was about to break down into tears but she controlled her feelings and asked Rajveer.

"Tumhein Bhaiyya ki location ka koi idea hai?"

"Haan... Jitni information mili hai uske hisaab se yahan se 30 kms door jo jungle hain, Navin wahan kahin hona chahiye."

"Jungle mein...is haalat mein?"

"Thankfully the forest isn't that thick."

"But still Raj... he needs treatment."

"Hmmmm....atleast this time he ....."

"What do you mean by atleast this time?"

"Nahin I was saying....I understand but he is doing what he could. Kisi bhi city mein enter karna uske liye zyada dangerous ho sakta hai."

"Haan Raj...lekin agar..."

 

Naina fell down on her knees. She was weeping badly. Rajveer knelt down and lifted her face. He wiped her tears.

 

"Naina don't jump to conclusions.... Navin ek sipahi hai. A brave soldier....Woh itni aasani se haar nahin manega. Woh akhri saans tak ladega Naina.Aur isse pehle ki uski himmat toot jaaye, humein us tak pahunchna hai. Be brave Naina and don't loose heart. We will find him out... Believe me."

He took her into his arms. Naina was feeling better.He was right they still had a hope.Naina got up on her feet.

"Raj humein abhi nikalna chahiye. Lets not waste time."

"Nahin Naina abhi nikalne ka koi fayda nahin hai. It's already dark aur aise mein hum forest area mein Navin ko nahin dhoondh paayenge. We will set out for it early in the morning. And don't worry main woh area dekh ke aaya hoon. That's why I am late. But I know the exact location of the incident."

"Okay."

Though Naina felt that she won't be able to wait for the night to pass, she knew going there in dark would be of no use.After a couple of hours Rajveer left to get some food and while coming back he also bought an edition of the evening newspaper.

 

After dinner as he was turning the pages of the newspaper, he was shocked to see a particular news.

"Naina humein yeh jagah abhi chodni hogi."

"What? Lekin kyun?"

"Naina explanations ka time nahin hai...Lets get going...Fast."

They packed their bags and hurriedly ran away making sure they leave no trail of their presence or any clue about them.

An hour after they left, the place was raided by police.
