double blast

It was the day of sangeet ..the whole singh house was filled with excitement, laughter and shoutings of last minute preparations. Only 2 hour is left for function, and mrs singh's blood pressure increased as her both daughters were not still ready, but playing with zeenia.

''tum log abhi tak taiyyar kyu nahi ho rahi ho? Bohot kam waqt bacha hain.'' She said in hyper tone.

''chill maa ..we will be ready just in time.'' Said puja, while pressing the PS3 remote fully to speed up her car. And mrs singh was about to shout, when she looked at riya, who was doing the same from past one hour, but with no positive result.

''that's it.'' She got up from sofa, and went near them. She removed the remote from zeenia's hold, while the latter shouted in irritation, ''mumma''. Riya glared at her and she shut up. She did the same to puja, and she also shouted ''Ri !!!'' , but she shut her too.then she turned to shai, who was busy eating an apple, and cheering these two.

''you two, get up and get ready, now. Zeenia, go with dadi and get ready.'' Riya ordered like a princy, and both of 3 nodded. Mrs singh chuckled silently seeing her daughters slowly got up and went towards their room to get ready. She hold zeenia's finger and they both also went toward their room.

Riya sighed looking shai puja's retreating back  who will say this girl is about to get married? She is just the very same she had met ..no change till now. May be wedding will change her, but she has little doubt over it. Sameer sir pamper and spoil her to the core, she wont change, ever! She chuckled and went to their rooms.

Shai had wore her dress, and was busy to do her hair, while puja was in bathroom to change.shai didn't want any make up artist for function, but mrs singh insist to have make up artist for wedding day. Shai turned to her, and asked, ''ye dress kaisi lag rahi hain?''

Riya signaled with her fingers that its too good, and shai grinned widely and get back to her hair. In no time, she did her hair and make up, while puja come out from bathroom, complaining about Indian lehngas weight.

''uff, kitni bhari hain di, ap kaise pehnoge shadi wala lehnga itne waqt tak? Main to abhi se irritate ho rahi hoon.'' Shai and riya chuckled at her irritated face. Puja turned to riya and made a shocked face.

''madam, ap ko kya special invitation doon to get ready? Hum logon ko to bada gyan de rahi thi, now what about you? Get up ..tumhara kaam sabse zyada hain.'' Puja said in a serious tone, and shai turned to riya. Puja is right, riya is not still ready.

Riya eyed these two woman and answered, ''sangeet meri nahi hain, isski hain .'' She pointed towards shai, ''aur main taiyyar ho jaoongi. Don't worry.''

Riya took her dress and went to bathroom to change. She come out, did the minimal make up and made her hair quickly.

Puja sighed dramatically, ''mujhe laga di ke baad log mujhe notice karenge, par yahan to ..hay re meri footi kismet!''

Riya threw the comb to puja, ''shut up!''

Shai puja giggled and then come near her, ''you are looking stunning! Hay, ab mujhe kaun dekhega?'' shai fakely wiped her imaginative tears, and puja giggle at her action. Riya made a face, and failed.

Soon it was time for function. All people had reached in the party, including the would-be groom and his family and friends. The girls also come down, and all started to tease shai sameer, while they both just blushed.

Riya's eyes fell on arjun's face, and her heart skipped. She searched any trace of hatred in his looks, and feared if she found any, how will she control herself. She looked away, and when Mrs. Singh called her for something, she happily go away from the place.

Then the sangeet function started. The trio, shree puja and chotu performed a dance on mahi ve song, and all burst into applause. Now it was time for ariya dance.

Riya slowly come to the dance floor, and arjun followed her. He then offered his hand, and she gave her palm slowly. The song played, and both were lost in each other.

Kyu raaton ko main ab chain se so na sakoon

Kyu ata nahi mujhe din mein bhi chain aur sukoon

Kyu aisa hota hain main khud se hi baatein karoon

Kyu tu jo bole koi sune na who main hi sunooo

Dil ye bekarar kyu hain, iss mein dhoon sawar kyu hain

Soon the other 2 couple, shai sam and puree joined them on the dance floor, but they were so busy in each other that they didn't realize it. While riya was very busy to figure out his feelings, he was just staring at her brown eyes with unknown emotions.

Ye pyar hain, jo tujhe ho gayahain

Na jane tu kyu, isse tha bekhabar

Jo aj kal ye tujhe ho raha hai

Nahi aur kuch , pyar ka hain asar

Kyu tere jalwo ka chadta nahi hain dhua

The song ended, and whole party burst in applause, and ariya's staring session broke. The 3 couple smiled at the audience, and soon they left the stage.

The sangeet night went on, with the hopes for new life, with the happiness for future, and also there was figuring out some feelings, and decision for future.

It was the day of wedding, finally! The busy household of singh house was more busy today while there was silent shedding of tears for soon to be bride, also there was excitement, tensions, and last minute preparations.

Shai was as usual chilled today, and mrs singh was as usual hyper. She sent the 3 girls to beauty parlour for make up and dressing, and now she was busy to see if all preparation were ok or not. Mr singh was busy to see preparations, and also fulfilling every order his wife was throwing at him every now and then.  Daijaan and chotu's mom also came for help, and mrs singh's hyper feeling eased little ..but she had all the rights to be like this, after all she is the mother of bride! In all this, she also shed some tears, and all consoled her with heavy heart.

On the other hand, home minister's house was today no less than a military camp. Everything was checked 3 times, every arrangement was almost done, but still there was cross checking. And the ladies of the house was busy teasing sameer , and making themselves ready in the best dress and jewellery. Poor sameer, he was blushing so much in these days that his cheek bone was hurting now, and arjun was enjoying his best friend's halat. He was unaffected by sameer's glares too.

Soon it was time to go ..the rajput family headed towards the bride's house in full jor and shor, with band baja, many baratis, lightings and crackers. They entered in dhamakedar style, and the ladies of the singh house come out to welcome them. puja and amina danced in the band baja tunes, much to annoyance of chotu and mrs singh, while arjun, riya and sameer was amused and shree was busy to give them two company! The ETF boys were from sameer's side, and they were fulfilling this duty too greatly.

The groom's family entered the singh house, and settled on the seats.the bride's family was busy to attend them, and soon puja riya amina come downstairs with shai. There was another round of teasing when shai settled down near sameer, both stole glance from each other, while others caught it and teased more. The atmosphere was full of laughter, and happiness.

In between these, arjun dragged riya along with him and took her out in backyard.riya was first shocked at this action, then her heart sank ..what is he going to do?

Arjun stood in front of her, took a deep breath, and remember his speech he was preparing from some days, while riya's heart sank with each passing seconds. Her one leg was ready to run away inside, and other leg was fixed on the place. She stared at his face, trying to figure out what he is going to do or say.

''uss din jab tum ..tumne jo kuch bhi kahan  I thought many times .'' His all sentences were incomplete, and riya figured out what he is trying to say. She composed herself, and answered in a crack tone, '' I know, its shocking  .its ok, I can understand. I deserve this.''

Her self blaming flared him up, and gave him the needed push to say his heart out, ''its not your fault, ok? Don't you dare to think like this ever.''

Riya looked at him with confused look ..what is going on in his mind?

Arjun took another breath, and nervously lick his lips. he is nervous?! What the... 

''after you left, I could not stop thinking what you said to me  u said ur life's biggest secret, and it's the reason u pushed me away from u, u hurt urself because u think I will hate u after this.'' He looked at her eyes with utmost care, trying to make her understand what he wanted to say, '' but u were wrong. I don't hate you, I can never hate you ..''

Riya took some moment to realize it, and repeat his words, ''you don't hate me?'' she asked, more then stating it.

Arjun smirked little, and cupped her face, ''no you stupid, I don't I cant. My love is above all this  fear and this truth. How could you even think that I will hate you?''

Riya shook her head in disbelieve, its had to be a dream .a dream she always wanted to be true. Now its happenning, she cant believe it, ''but its ..i am related to that person who destroyed ur life ..its so wrong!''

Arjun shook his head .she is so selfless! he answered her question.

''but u are the person who come in my life, and put colour in it. You are the reason my heart is beating again. You are the girl I fell in love with. Its so right to be with you.''

She protested, ''but ..''

He put his finger on her lips, to shut her up, ''I don't care you are related to whom and not  that man is dead. That's it. I love you, and only this thing matter.''

Riya was just speechless after his true confession. He don't hate me, he don't care about it ..he love me. Of course she always knew the last part, but hearing it aloud put her back to sense.suddenly she saw arjun bend on his knees, and before she can think more, he took out a ring !

''riya mukherjee, you are the only woman in this world who had managed to touch my heart after my first wife, roshni. I love you, and I know you love me too. So will you spend your rest of life with me? ''

Riya's eyes went wide with shock, and she continued to stare back. Arjun smirked and complained, ''come on, answer fast. My knees are hurting.''

She silently nodded, and he grinned widely. Then he put the ring on her finger, and kissed her hand. Getting up on feet, he placed a light peck on her lips,then he hugged her tight. She also come out the shock, and she smiled widely, from ear to ear, and hugged him back.

They head back to the house, holding hands. Shai's eyes fell on riya, and her red eyes. Then she saw arjun beside her, and mistook it all.

''tumhari best friend meri best friend ko rula diya.'' She complained to sameer like a school child, crossed her arms, and looked away. Sameer first look at her, then at ariya, then he noticed riya's red eyes, and glared to arjun.

Ariya come near them, and arjun smirked at sameer, while riya blushed. Before anyone can say or ask anything, shree dragged riya with him, ''chal mere saath.''

''par .'' Before she can say anything, shree dragged her in a corner.

''I proposed her.'' Arjun announced happily, and sameer's angry glare was replaced by huge grin. He got up and hugged him back, ''and she of course said yes. I am so happy for you.''

Shai and puja stared at the two, then realization slowly sank. Then they both yelled like crazy people, making everyone to turn at them. sameer jumped and placed his hand on shai, making her shut up.

''kya kahenge log? Dulhan apni shadi ke excitement mein cheekh rahi hain.'' He said, and removed his hand. Shai rolled her eyes, then went near arjun, and shook his hand.

''congrats .waise I don't know what she saw in you, but you better keep her happy, or else I will tell Sammy to beat the hell out of you.'' her smiling face vanished, and arjun looked amusedly at rathore, while the latter looked shockingly at shai. Did she just give a threat?

On the other hand, shree dragged riya in a corner, and took out a small box in front of her. He slowly opened it, and there was a small ring in it.

''I am going to propose her ..after wedding.'' Shree said excitedly, while riya's eyes shine more .she hugged him tight
