Chapter 19

hey all, thnxx for commenting on my last 2 updates.

many have asked if i have forgot shree's love interest as i am pairing shree with puja. no guys, but as i have said to vampire queen, sabko apna pehla pyar mile aisa zaroori to nahi.

and, i have not revealed Riya's past, so presenting a new part, thus revealing past of all characters.

Best friend forever

 

Riya thought this holi was really an extraordinary day in her life, but soon she came to know about the heartbreak of someone it brought with it.

 She was completing a pending paperwork when, suddenly, her blackberry rang. It was shree.

''what's up???'' she said distracted .but the other side was silent.

''hello? Shree?'' she asked. Again no response.

''anyone there?'' she asked. And this time, there was a respond. It was a sound, sound of….crying!!!!!

She could clearly hear her bff's crying over the phone. She panicked at once.

''hey, shree, what happened? Where are you?'' she asked urgently, while the other person only continued his crying. Her heart become empty suddenly and an unknown fear overtook her.

''you are in hospital.'' it was not a question. She at once got up from the couch and said, ''I am coming.''

 

After some hours, it was raining like anything, and two people were standing in the rain. One man was at the ground, crying his heart out, while the lady just hugged him and patted his back, letting his all the pain out. There were only two people in the big and empty… Shamshaan ghat.

The girl whom shree loved so dearly, for whom he prayed everyday, who was in his breath, was now gone, forever. This day, which was filled with laughter and happiness till some hours ago, was ending with heartbreaking sorrow.

Riya just hold him, and let his all pain come out.  There was only emptiness in her mind, while there was also some hidden relief, that the poor soul don't have to suffer more now.

Shree was broke down completely after he received the news of her death.he could'nt hold himself anymore.he doesn't wanted to hold himself anymore. He had tried very hard from past 5 years, to be strong, to be in hope, just for her sake…but now the reason is gone. There was pain in his heart, as why had his love had to suffer so much brutality? Why god did that with her? What was her fault?

After like eternity, he stopped and at the exact same time, the rain stopped too. May be mother nature has also cried to see her two most loving children in pain.

Riya dropped shree at his flat. She also stayed there, could'nt gathered the courage to leave him alone.some days will be very hard for him to bear, but he will get used to it, like she had.

She had felt just like him when her baby sister, suhani , her Su, died. She was so grief stricken, but could'nt show her pain and shed tears in her memory as she had to handle her family. her mother was already shattered, and father was so grief stricken that he isolated himself from everyone.it tooks many days for her to be back in her normal life. It took many days to make them smile again, and move on.

May be they had, but she could'nt. Till now, 5 years after her death, she could'nt get over the fact that she is not with her anymore.she still imagines her , that she is talking, she is laughing. She at first was scared, as she thought she is going crazy.but later she was overwhelmed as her sister was still with her, may be as a spirit, but still with her.

Sometimes she felt that she should also go to her sister, but could'nt get enough courage to hurt herself, to commit suicide. She thought about her family, who was just moving on in their lives , and of course, she found her reason of existence at last, Zeenia.

Suhani was cheated by her first love. The girl was so blinded by her first love that she could'nt feel when she crossed all her limits. And when she did, she got a bigger reality check ; her lover had went to Australia for his career, leaving behind her. Suhani had nt tell him anything about her pregnancy , as she thought his life and career is more important than her life and her unborn baby, and neither he cared about her.she then took an incredible job, for which Riya is very proud of her.she decided to give birth her baby, and to raise her.Suhani had almost fought with her parents alone. Riya also helped her convince their parents.her mom eventually supported them, but their father was angry and detached himself from them.

Suhani had many dreams for this child.she had shared it all with her Di, her best friend and pillar of support.but fate has something else stored for the Mukherjee house. The dream suhani saw was again shattered by the harsh reality.though they were in America, far from every relative of their, everyone eventually came to know about Suhani's pregnancy.they didn't support it, and because of Suhani they broke all ties with them.they had to face many problems from their relatives as well as their father, Devesh Mukherjee.

After Zeenia's birth, Suhani went into depression.she hold herself responsible for all the humility her family, her mom, her Di faced.she didn't wanted to burden her family with her presence.so she decided to go to her Durga maa forever.

She knew after her death, things wont be same anymore.but she was nt in a condition to think about anything.she knew her daughter is safe with her Di.she will take care of her more than her, love her more than anyone else could.

And she was right.Riya found her reason of living in that little angle. She was indeed an angle.she bring back happiness in Mukherjee house. She bring back her Dada, her grandfather , from isolation to life.she was the life of them.with her, everything was back to normal.

But things were not so normal with Riya. She could hardly breathe with the guilt that she could'nt save her baby Sister.she felt that her silent cries and blood was still in the house. So she decided to ran away, far from her memories.it was the main reason to come back to Mumbai, to join police force again.

 

She didn't realize when the new sun rised, and a new morning starts.sitting on the sofa of Shree's flat, she came back from her thoughts and went ahead to check on shree.

He was sitting on his bed, staring at nothing. Riya entered to his room and sat beside himself.both were silent , when suddenly shree spoke

''time kya huwa hain?''

His voice was choking, like he is talking after many years.his voice was hoarse due to crying.Riya's head shot up at his voice and she checked the wall clock ''its 7.30 am''

He got up from the bed,  went in front of wardrobe and opened it. Riya was confused, ''shree?''

He turned to face her,'' office nahi jana hain kaya??''

Riya got up at once.she was really confused, but she knew him too well.its his way of hiding pain.

''shree, take the day off.'' She said in a low voice.

Shree sighed and closed his eyes.he talked as he was in so pain, ''I wont be able to breath, Ri. I want distractions.''

Her eyes welled up, but she fight them back.he opened his eyes and said, ''hey, I will be ok.dont worry.''

She ran to him and crushed in his chest.shree also hugged him tightly, ''its all over.'' He said in a broken tone.Riya patted his back , when he said again, ''but I am glad that god didn't let her suffer more.'' He broke down completely. ''it hurts , Ri.i cant tolerate it.''

She consoled her, while hugging him tightly.after some time, he went into shower to freshen up.

They both went to Riya's place for breakfast, to which shree didn't oblige. He needed destructions desperately, to keep himself compose. But one could clearly see all was not well with him.

Shree sat on the dining table, waiting for Riya.his mind was so blank that he was not sure what is going on.but he tried, very much, to focus.

''D.J. mere joote nahi mil rahe hain…''

The voice of Zeenia broke his chain of thoughts, and his eyes went to her.there she was, holding a shoe in one hand and coming out running from her room.she paused as her eyes fell on him, and instantly her eyes shined.

''aap Shree uncle ho na?'' she said, and came closer to him. He just nodded.

She left the shoe in the floor and went directly on his lap.Shree was surprised at her action, but didn't seems unhappy.

''kya main aapko mamu bula sakti hoon, please? Mere saare friends ke mamu hain, par mere paas nahi hain.can i???'' she asked sweetly. Shree stared at her, and nodded slightly.

Her happiness knew no bounds, ''thank you.'' Saying this, she kissed his cheek.and instantly, his lips curled into a smile.she hold his neck with her tiny arms, trying to hug him.shree also hugged her back, like his life is depended on her.

Riya and Daijaan was the silent observer of this epic moment.they saw it all , and further saw how shree also started to chat with her.her silly antics and innocent words were bringing smile in his face.riya was happy for his friend.

''she is really an angle.for giving us immense happiness.'' She thought while seeing Shree and Zeenia hi 5 ed each other.

More days passed.everyone had now understood that Shree is going through tough time.he rarely smile, or joke with Chotu. He is always busy with his work, forget to eat or drink something until someone reminds him.his bosses has also witnessed this.though Arjun was curious, he could'nt ask him due to his ego. And Sameer asked him whats the problem, but he just replied it's a family matter.

Chotu has asked many times About shree to riya, and so did Sameer, but it was not a thing to tell anyone.and of course, it was not her secret, so she also replied as shree, it's a family problem.Sameer just nodded, but did nt buy their explanation.and somewhere chotu also didn't ask again.he also realized though he and shree is best friends. May be there are such things that are not meant to share with friends.he suspected that may be riya know it all, but he was not jealous or angry. In these days, he could actually understand the depth of their relationship.it was unspoken, it is based on immense trust and love, and they will always stand beside each other, no matter what.when he and shree become friends, he always talked about riya and her family.it was so clear from his voice that how much he need her, how much their friendship meant to him.when she joined ETF, Chotu was happy for his friend, as he will be super happy now.there was a liitle sadness in his heart, that may be shree will forget him.but now when he think about it, it turns out so silly.Riya is so sweet girl and can make anyone friends quickly.and now they are also very good friends.

ok, i know it was a bit sentimental type, and i sucks with emotions, but promise, aisa emotional update kabhi nahi karoongi.next update will be better from it (i hope )
