Chapter 5

 

"Tum kahin ja rahe ho Aakash?, she asked as she stood by him pouring orange juice and making up breakfast for she rather do something then nothing.

"Yep away on business for a week or so, he replied as he finished his toast and checked his phone at the breakfast table. His suitcase was packed and he seemed to have that just before a flight buzz about him.

"Is everything okay, settling in alright He paused for a second to look up from his breakfast. The nicest thing was Khushi noticed about this family was that they were all very concerned for her wellbeing.

"It would have been nice to have you here whilst everything is so unfamiliar. He was after all the one person that she felt the most comfortable around in her new home. Akaash smiled.

"You've got bhai he's taking some time out of work to be around in fact it's his meeting I'm going to attend but you can always ring me if you need anything and there's lots of people around that are more useful then I am bhabhi trust me.  

Akaash was always good at adding humour to any moment when most needed.

That was when ASR entered the kitchen, he was dressed in a lighter version of his normal attire, a white shirt with sleeves slightly rolled up, he was a tall dark  and handsome character, Khushi found herself going quiet she didn't mean to but it just happened.

"Ready?  He patted Aakash on shoulder before sitting down next to him, pouring himself coffee, Khushi realised she ought to have done that for him but it was a little too late now. She made a mental note of his coffee preference for next time and stayed quiet whilst the brothers went on to talk.

"All set, Akaash replied.

"Look just make sure you're firm with them, no negotiation, no sob stories, withdraw the deal if you have to, it's important this one so try not to screw it up.

Khushi noticed how ruthless her husband seemed to be on the work front, so far he seemed to  have a very practical' was the best way she could put it attitude towards all things.

Business wasn't really her thing so she sat down to breakfast quietly when doing so a cover of a magazine sat at the table caught her attention.

It was a fashion magazine with Arnav at the centre and various pretty ladies in lingerie surrounding him. She was well aware that he was a well known figure in fashion as well as business and this was apart of it but it made her feel well a little uncomfortable .

ASR who happens to take glance at his wife noticing the magazine puts two and two together, picks up the magazine taking it out of khushi's sight before leaving the table he tells Akash to put on a better tie a AR branded one and remember his passport.

"Though love.. you'll get used to it Akaash comments looking towards khushi who's ever so new to Arnav Singh Raizada's way of doing things, or maybe not as that term tough love  made khushi think for a moment about her last three years of belonging to someone but not quiet. She only had a split second to contemplate and just that after which asked her for a unbiased opinion on his choice of tie. I think it's a lovely tie  Aakash Khushi adds with a smile.

Who ate all the cookies!

Anjali, looked suspiciously at her little 4 year old Adi in the kitchen, but Adi really hadn't it was Arnav who had polished off the bulk of them last night and khushi was witness to it..

Anjali however would find the culprit and some how believed little adi because he preferred chocolate cookies when these were iced ones.

On the other hand, khushi was exploring raizada house on her first day for she wasn't permitted to do any work until her mendhi had worn off  had seen  all corners of her home and ended up walking back towards their room can the see her husband pace the room with a Bluetooth to ear.

Aman the AR Magazine..

In no time at all had anjali arrived via the poolside steps interrupting ASR's call with aman.

Why's this jar empty, she raises an eyebrow at her brother but before Arnav could respond khushi had saved him.

"Di woh kal  raat kame bhookh lagi thi toh "

she'd told a white lie all to his surpise, which caught his attention but anjali wasn't quite sure but let khushi off giving her a suspicious look but then she was all for her new sister in law.

To avoid any conversation about his health and because he had a more important task to mind Arnav whilar putting away his Bluetooth mentioned the company magazine.

"Has Aman told you he's going on he company magazine cover?

kyun Arnav I thought you liked to be on on that with those semi naked women in lingerie. she was obviously making fun of the nature their business and looking down on it at the same time.

"The only woman lingerie  I'll be seen with from now  is my wife . Whilst khushi went red like blossom at the conversation Anjali was least pleased with the idea of her husband on that magazine and pulled khushi away with her.

Chalo khushi in mardon ki baton mein mat aoo,  (Come on khushi take no notice of him.)

Next chapter

Again this morning he saw her behave equally awkwardly as she had done the day before she  shuffled around him finding herself yet again very close to him when opening her eyes.  Before she could leave the bed he caught her arm twisting it gently back to make her stay in bed it was time to show her that this odd feeling she was uncomfortable about every morning was nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about.

She felt him hook his fingers and thumb around her underwear and gently pull at the material, she was a disarray at what was happening around her, they couldn't have been more different to one and other if they tried and yet that is what made them so compatible with one and other.
