My Desires

Sitting amid friends and

Talking to them,

There was something I realised.

A partner in my life,

In love with me and not sex,

is what I desired! 

People called me strange. 

A relationship without sex 

Was unacceptable to them.

"Need to give husband the pleasure,

Or else he will wander among his peers."

They would ask about kids too

And I could foresee the future pressure.

Oh No! I am ready to give him pleasure,

But with cuddles kisses and long hugs,

Which he wouldn't find among his peers.

And about the kids!

What they want is love and affection

And that is my whole definition. 

Blood or not, 

It is the love that all along matters.

Definition of Romance,

Is very broad and vast.

This can't be limited just 

to sex on the couch. 

Holding hands till it's sweaty,

Dedicating songs to the partner beauty,

Laughing like mad and hugging for long 

Are some examples just to make you sure. 

But do trust me,

romance is even beyond the examples I gave.

It is what makes you smile,

Makes you feel desired.

Gives you strength to 

bounce back and run an extra mile.

So if you think I am mad,

there might be some definition 

Broader and vaster,

Where I am who I am 

But still loved unconditionally,

Without any demands or favours.

Just him and me forever!
