YRKKH's Samridhhi Shukla on TRP surge of the show: 'Only thing I would like to CHANGE in current track is..'

Samridhii Shukla, currently headlining Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently got in an exclusive chat with India Forums as her show moved up the TRP charts this week. The actress expresses joy about the same and further reveals what is that one thing she wishes to change in the current story line of the show.

As soon as the much awaited 'Abhimaan reunion' happened, there has been an outpour of love by the viewers of the show. This outpour has also been reflecting on the TRP of the show as the ratings are finally back on track after a brief drop. How does this feel?

The TRP is something that we are told consciously not to worry about, especially by our producer. But of course, it's not like we don't come to know and it doesn't motivate us when we are getting the numbers. But I think we're really going very constant and that's what the entire team is happy about. Whatever the changes overall in the GEC is happening, it's not really affecting us because we're stable. We're not losing anybody. So I think that's a good sign for us.

For a show with a legacy like that of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, do drop in ratings bother you?

For a show to be running since the time it has and for it to expect it to be number one all the time or to have number one TRP all the time or to be one, two, three in ranking, you know that's very superficial I believe. When you have a journey like how life is, you have high points and you have low points but what makes this show great is it sustains, it persists, it's there, it's thriving even after everything and thanks to the creative team and everybody and how much they work and are passionate about the project it shows. So, no it doesn't bother because when you have a project that is going since the time that it has, it has history, it is creating history as we speak. There is going to be ups and downs.

If given a chance, what is that one thing in the current story line that you would change? Could be anything, right from your character to the story.

Would I want to change anything in the current storyline? Maybe just for fun's sake, I would just say that Madhav should come and live with us and we should just let the Poddars be Poddars. But that's no fun, I think. But anything else that I would like to change? Yeah, I guess my hair. That's about it. I love this track and I love this kind of Armaan and Abhira against the world. We are building everything from scratch, so it's very interesting.
