Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai turns 7!

Yeah! Let's sing along this jingle for the entire team of Rajan Shahi's long running popular show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' (Star Plus).

The popular show which has made a special place in the hearts of the audience across the globe, celebrates its 7^th anniversary today.

After achieving milestones over milestones, bagging several awards, introducing a lots of ups and downs in its storyline, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has already become one of the longest running show on Star Plus, beating the record of 1833 episodes of the very popular show 'Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. 

The show is soon to complete its 2000 episodes, but today the team is in a mood to party hard, as the show has completed its successful 7 years. 

We hear that, there is a cake cutting happening on the sets and later the cast and crew plans to celebrate and enjoy together partying on the sets.

When we spoke to producer Rajan Shahi, he told us, "Its a great team work and to keep the texture alive for 7 years for a show like Yeh Rishta. The credit goes to the entire team which has worked together over the years and have made this possible. Yeh Rishta stands apart even today from the other shows in terms of its positivity. This is the show which an entire family can watch together. Its been an amazing journey with the entire team of the show."

"The idea is to not to go away from the entire texture of the show. Our challenge is to maintain the texture of the show and to make it a full family entertainment without any negativity and over the top drama. The idea is to touch the hearts of the audience with sweet moments. The journey of all the characters on Yeh Rishta has been very beautifully grown in the past 7 years. We started shooting for the show 8 years back. The team effort in the last 8 years has been remarkable. I feel proud to see how each one associated with the show has grown and evolved with the show. The passion is still alive! So, the credit goes to the entire team and I am proud to have such a team. Its once in a lifetime kind of a feeling, to do such a big show," he added.
