Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan REFUSES to let Abhira & Vidya touch Pookie, leaves everyone STUNNED

In today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira and Arman have a conversation about spending habits. Abhira tells Arman that he spends money on things that aren’t necessary. She uses the example of a pair of heels he bought for her and asks where she is expected to wear them. Arman replies that she can go anywhere she wants, but not with Pookie. Abhira decides not to wear the heels, and in response, Arman suggests that she should use her time to be with Pookie instead.

Meanwhile, the Poddar family comes together to observe Mother’s Day. Kaveri, keeping with her usual behavior, asks Sanjay about her gift for the occasion. Sanjay tells her that he didn’t bring anything this time and forgot about it. During the celebration, Vidya begins to think about her son Rohit and expresses how much she misses him. She mentions that Arman reminds her of Rohit in some ways. According to her, Rohit would have enjoyed being around Pookie and playing with her. Arman agrees with Vidya’s thoughts and says Rohit would have found joy in spending time with the baby.

The men in the family take over the kitchen to allow the women some rest for the day. Charu and Kiara offer to help the men with the cooking. While this is happening, Arman starts to feel uneasy about leaving Pookie in someone else’s care. He is particularly hesitant to leave her with Vidya, even though she has experience. Abhira notices this change in Arman’s behavior and seems surprised by how anxious and overprotective he has become.

Later, a text message causes an awkward moment in the house. Abhir sends a message saying "I love you" intended for Charu, but Kiara sees the message instead. This creates a misunderstanding between Charu and Kiara, making things uncomfortable for both.

Arman’s concern for Pookie begins to grow into overprotectiveness. He becomes controlling about who interacts with the baby. He refuses to let Abhira carry Pookie and starts correcting others. He scolds Kajal for wrapping Pookie’s blanket too tightly and holds Manisha responsible for interrupting the baby’s sleep. His behavior affects the others emotionally—Manisha, Kajal, and Vidya feel hurt by his actions. Abhira and Kaveri are visibly unsettled by how much Arman’s behavior has changed.

Even while cooking, Arman continues to focus on Pookie. He asks Abhira to bring the baby’s milk but doesn’t trust her to check the temperature. Although Abhira says she already tested it, Arman insists on checking it again himself. When she questions him, he asks if she has a problem with him double-checking. Abhira is taken aback by his tone and distrust.

Later, Abhira approaches Kaveri and reminds her of something she had said earlier—that Arman would go back to being himself once the baby was born. Now, seeing his behavior, Abhira questions if that will really happen. Kaveri is unable to respond. Abhira then quietly observes how the rest of the family is putting in effort to keep Arman and Pookie comfortable. It becomes clear to her that Arman’s past experiences may be influencing how he is behaving as a new parent. She starts to worry about how she will help him understand that his current actions may not be healthy for those around him, including the baby.
