Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Armaan opens up about Abhira to Geetanjali; Kaveri discovers Anshuman’s feelings

In tonight's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Geetanjali expresses her curiosity about Maira’s mother. This leaves Armaan stunned. Geetanjali tells him that since they're going to raise Maira together, she deserves to know about Abhira.

Armaan opens up about Abhira to Geetanjali. He fondly describes her as his first close friend, someone strong, fearless, and the one who could always calm him down. He also admits that Abhira often landed herself in trouble due to her outspoken and bold nature.

Elsewhere, Anshuman questions Kaveri about Abhira. She shares that both Abhira and Vidya are unwell. Anshuman recalls how silent Abhira was during the journey back from Mount Abu and wonders if she's still in shock. Kaveri then tells him the harsh truth, Abhira had been waiting for her husband for seven years, only to find out he is marrying someone else. She adds that while Abhira is selfless, fate has never been kind to her. Anshuman tries to comfort Kaveri and says it's time Abhira moves forward in life. Kaveri, however, feels Armaan never truly deserved Abhira.

Meanwhile, Armaan continues to speak about Abhira with Geetanjali. He says Abhira was like a pillar of strength for him and compares her to a grown-up version of Maira. He shares how, after Maira's birth, they realised their parenting styles clashed, which eventually led to them parting ways. Geetanjali then asks if Abhira even knows about Maira. She suspects Abhira is unaware of Maira's existence.

Anshuman offers to skip an important meeting to be there for Kaveri. He assures her of his support whenever she needs it and silently starts thinking about Abhira. At work, a discussion about solar panels takes place, but Anshuman finds himself lost in thought, wondering if such inventions could also heal emotional wounds.

Back to Armaan, he strongly feels that Abhira should never find out about Maira. He admits to himself that while hiding Maira's truth was wrong, it's a truth better left buried. Armaan then receives a shock, Abhira has sent him divorce papers. Unable to handle it, he faints. Maira panics and rushes to help him.

Anshuman is also dealing with mixed emotions. When an employee jokes that his concern for Abhira might mean he's in love, Anshuman lashes out, though the words strike a chord.

Later, Maira manages to wake Armaan. She has already seen the divorce papers, but Armaan hides the reality from her. She asks him to smile, but his forced smile reminds her of Abhira's expression when she's pretending to be okay. Armaan struggles to stay composed.

Meanwhile, Kaveri returns to Anshuman's cabin and accidentally overhears his inner conflict, he seems to be falling for Abhira. Though still unsure of his feelings, Anshuman makes a decision to help Abhira in growing her business.

On the other hand, Armaan imagines Abhira standing in front of him. The divorce papers still haunt him. At home, Vidya tells Abhira that she's burning with fever and links her illness to the emotional weight of sending divorce papers to Armaan. Vidya defends Armaan, believing he would never marry someone else and will definitely come back to Abhira.

But despite all the confusion, Armaan finally signs the divorce papers. He recalls all those years he stayed away from Abhira and blames himself for her pain. He feels guilty and thinks she must hate him by now. Vidya urges Abhira to express her anger and call Armaan. Kaveri, however, questions Vidya's intentions and accuses her of always siding with Armaan. Vidya, in return, blames Kaveri for not stopping Armaan when she saw him at the cultural event. The episode ends with Armaan putting his signature on the divorce documents.
