Why Saif Ali Khan Was Rushed to Hospital in an Auto by Son Ibrahim After Intruder Attack at Bandra Home

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw after being stabbed by an unknown intruder at his Bandra home in the early hours of Thursday. The attack prompted his wife, Kareena Kapoor, to contact his eldest son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, who quickly arrived at the scene to help his father.

The 23-year-old son of Saif and his first wife, Amrita Singh, found no driver available at the residence and had to hail an autorickshaw to transport Saif to the hospital. The Mumbai Police confirmed that Ibrahim, along with a staff member, brought the injured actor to Lilavati Hospital around 3.30 am. "Since there was no driver at home at that hour, he was brought in an auto rickshaw," police stated.

Saif Ali Khan underwent multiple surgeries after sustaining six wounds, including two deep ones, according to Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital. The actor is currently in recovery, and doctors are closely monitoring his condition.

The incident occurred around 2.30 am when an altercation between the intruder and domestic staff alerted Saif. "When the actor tried to intervene and pacify the man, he attacked Saif Ali Khan and injured him. Police are investigating the matter," a Mumbai Police source told ANI. Kareena Kapoor and their sons, Taimur and Jeh, were also present during the attack.

By noon on Thursday, Saif's team issued a statement: "Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery, and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe, and the police are investigating the incident." Dr. Uttamani confirmed that Saif has been moved to the ICU for observation and will remain there for a day.

The police are actively investigating the attack, while the family remains under heightened security.
