It shows members of Shilpa’s family engaged in a confrontation, allegedly after a foreign diner asked them to lower their voices. What followed appeared to be a verbal back-and-forth, where a woman, possibly Shilpa or her sister Shamita, can be heard saying, “Don’t talk to us, we don’t want to hear you.” Although the footage is unclear, the moment quickly caught public attention.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Raj Kundra finally addressed the uproar. According to him, the entire episode stemmed from a major booking blunder. He explained that the restaurant had confirmed a table for their group a year in advance, only to give it away at the last minute due to what staff called a “double booking.” Raj said the family, which included elderly parents and over 20 guests, was left waiting and disappointed.

What escalated matters further, according to Kundra, was how the restaurant handled their complaint. He stated that when they raised concerns, the staff allegedly told them to stay quiet, which sparked frustration among the group. Raj, who has a background in the hospitality business, said the lack of professionalism and respect deeply upset him.

Despite the controversy, the Shetty-Kundra family continued their trip in high spirits. Shilpa later posted several pictures from her milestone birthday celebration, posing in a glittering gown with fireworks in the backdrop, a towering cake, and smiling with her family. One picture even showed a heartfelt moment with Raj, with her caption thanking him for making the day unforgettable.
