The buzz around Amazon Prime Video India’s latest reality venture, The Traitors India, just hit a high note with the release of its much-awaited official trailer. The show, which marks the Indian adaptation of the internationally popular psychological reality format, was officially introduced today with a grand launch, confirming celebrated filmmaker Karan Johar as the host.

However, it was Raj Kundra, businessman and husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty who stole the spotlight during the trailer launch event. When asked about his game plan, Kundra cleverly tied in his past experiences. “Whenever I’ve worn a mask, people have wondered what I’m hiding. That mystery could work in my favour here,” he said, hinting at a strategic advantage in a game that thrives on secrecy.

He also humorously added, “Since Karan Johar is hosting, I’m definitely playing my ‘nepo husband’ card!” His candid and quirky remarks had the audience in splits and instantly made him one of the most talked-about participants of the day.

Shot against the regal backdrop of the Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan, The Traitors India promises a thrilling ride as contestants must unmask traitors hiding among them. With a format built around deception, alliances, and betrayal, the show is set to explore the limits of trust, all while testing the wits and instincts of its players.

The trailer not only gave a glimpse of the gripping gameplay but also unveiled an eclectic mix of 21 contestants.
