What if F.R.I.E.N.D.S was made in India?

F.R.I.E.N.D.S is one of the most popular sit-coms in the world. It is probably the best ever created! This show can't be compared to any of those which are telecasted now. But what if this show was made by an Indian Production house? What would be the cast!? Where would it be shot!? The same questions came to our minds and we compiled a list of possible things and the most suitable cast for the same!

 

The F.R.I.E.N.D.S would live in Mumbai

After all Mumbai is like the New York of India! Mumbai offers a variety of cultures, colours and is one of the most beautiful cities in the world which makes it perfect for our Desi Friends series.

 

Their apartments would be replaced by a typical TV house

A large staircase in the middle, framed picture of an elderly lady just above it, a living room big enough for a game of soccer and designer dcor that highlights the house altar would be the place our friends stay in.

 

Central Perk would be replaced by Anna's Filter Coffee!

If you are a fan of fancy ice cream topped so-called coffee, you are missing out on something great! If you desire to experience the real taste of coffee, you have to try filter coffee. This is probably where our friends would hang out.

And now for the cast!

Chandler would be played by Karan Patel

Best known for his sense of humour, Karan Patel could play Chandler Bing. Chandler's ability of breaking the awkward silence with a joke is quite similar to that of Karan. His one liners shall speak on his behalf. You have to agree Karan's sarcasm is quite at par with that of Chandler.

 

Monica Geller has to be Divyanka Tripathi

Divyanka looks just awesome if you imagine her as a chef who has worked in various food joints like Bade miyas', Shiv Sagar' and Amar Juice Center'. She would definitely be an active member of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan! She would fit the bill more so because just like Monica she too has an undying need to right, ALWAYS!'

 

Gautam Rode as Ross Geller

Ross is a sweet-natured man of good humour and so is Gautam. He looks a little shy and is socially awkward. But still he is the centre of attraction for the show! There would be no change in Ross's story either. In fact now if we sit to think Ross has the story of a typical Indian soap lead. He has married three women had a couple of divorces and has two kids, from different wives. #coincidence.

 

Guess who Rachel can be played by? Sanaya Irani!

Beauty looks better when you add more beauty into it! Sanaya Irani is the perfect Rachel! She is a fashion enthusiast and is the bubbliest character of the series. We could cross 7 oceans to watch Sanaya play this role!

 

Drashti Dhami would play the role of Phoebe Buffay

"Smelly Cat, Smelly cat..." Dhrashti is the most energetic and enthusiastic actress in Tellywood who is the perfect match for Pheobe's role. She is unlike others. She stands out!

 

No one can play Joey Tribbiani better than Karan Singh Grover!

He has got the style. He has got the looks. Karan is the perfect formula for Joey. Looking at his body we bet he doesn't share his food with anyone! Karan is the best Casanova in Tellywood who has girls ready to die for him!

 

Janice would be played by Jennifer Winget

Joey hates Janice and in this case, the acting would look totally natural. It would come from within! You see what we did there? (Pun intended) Oh My God!!!

 

Mohit Sehgal would play Gunther aka. Coffee Anna!

Mohit loves Sanaya to the core and Gunther loves Rachel.  Yet again we don't want to compromise on the acting quality as acting should be natural.

 

Emily would be played by Anita Hassnandani

Since this project is so large it would be produced by Ekta Kapoor and naturally Anita has to be a part of it! #bff

 

Richard Burke equals to Ronit Roy

Who else could play the role of Dr. Burke, a handsome doctor who is 21 years elder to Monica and has a certain charm and unreasonably good looks? Ronit Roy and no one else!
