Was waiting to play a character like Sunny since ages: Kushagre Dua of ‘Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali’

Star Plus show ‘Mehndi Hai Rachne Wali’ is one of the most loved shows on Indian Television right now. The fans are totally crushing over the scintilising couple Raghav and Pallavi played by actors Sai Ketan Rao and Shivangi Khedkar. The current track of the show revolves around Mandar’s challenge to Raghav that within seven days Pallavi would leave him and get back to Deshmukh house. Mandar has been trying his hands on various tricks to get Pallavi on his side.

Almost all the characters of the show have managed to get the attention of the audience. India Forums got in touch with Kushagre Dua who plays the character of Sunny in the show. The actor is seen playing a negative character in the show. We asked the young lad about his thoughts when he was offered the part in the show. Kushgre said, “Well, I haven’t really done a negative or a grey character. I’ve been a part of shows like Nazar and Divya Drishti wherein I played lovable characters which received a lot of love from the viewers. When I was offered ‘Sunny’, I was quite excited and happy to hear the narration. I was waiting for a character like this since forever and thus I decided to give it a shot”.

When asked about his parents’ reaction to his character in the show, he said, “When my father saw the first scene wherein, I was kissing a girl in the middle of a road. He quipped ‘gunda kahi ka’, on a very lighter note. My mother was happy with the show and character as she knows that it’s just a character not my real self”.
