War2: Was the climax of Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's movie changed at the behest of the RRR star?

War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, one of the most anticipated films of the year opened to mixed reviews. It started well but the collections have dipped after Monday. As per many experts, it will wrap up in under Rs 350 crores. A lot of people are discussing what went wrong with the film on social media. It seems the weak plot, shoddy VFX and excessive use of green screen are some of the reasons why it has not looked as appealing on the big screen. At the same time, many claim there is a negative campaign against the movie, which has dented the chances of the movie at the box. Those who have seen it have certified it as a one-time watch. The presence of Jr NTR was supposed to give it a big boost in the South Indian states.

However, it has been reported that Jr NTR insisted that the climax of War 2 be altered as his fans would not accept if his character died at the end. As per Deccan Chronicle, the original script had his character dying in the counter attack mission while he attempted to kill the Prime Minister. In the 2019 War, the character of Khalid (Tiger Shroff) dies mid-way. It was the emotional core of the movie. At the insistence of Jr NTR, the makers altered the climax and kept him alive. This means he can make an appearance in the future spy universe films of YRF.

If War 2 closes without a profit, doubts will be cast on the future of the YRF Spy Universe.
