War 2 was shot in five different countries? Here’s the latest update regarding the film ahead of teaser launch

The anticipation is building for the biggest Indian film of 2025, as Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr prepare for their epic clash in Ayan Mukerji's "War 2." As the sixth installment in Aditya Chopra's expansive YRF Spy Universe, "War 2" is expected to redefine the cinematic landscape, blending grand scale, stylistic flair, and action with deep drama and complex character arcs. With the teaser launching today, here's a sneak peek at this ambitious espionage thriller, which sees Hrithik Roshan reprise his role as Kabir from the 2019 blockbuster, "War."

While talking to Pinkvilla, a source shared, War 2 is the most ambitious film of the YRF Spy Universe, which has been shot all across the globe over a period of 150 days. Ayan Mukerji took the film on floors in February 2024, and the film has sequences set in six different countries – Spain, Italy, Abu Dhabi, Japan, Russia, and India. Some of the moments have been shot at a set in Mumbai, whereas a major chunk of the film has been canned at real locations.

The report indicates that approximately 6 to 7 days of filming remain for a song sequence, specifically the highly anticipated dance face-off between Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr.

The song is scheduled to be filmed at the end of June. Both Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr are enthusiastic about this unique musical face-off, which is a lively dance number composed by Pritam. The "War 2" music album will feature two songs. One is a visual spectacle with Hrithik and NTR, while the other is a romantic number featuring Hrithik and Kiara. Both songs are expected to be major hits.

"War 2" will feature six spectacular action sequences, including hand-to-hand combat, sword fights, and high-octane chases involving cars, bikes, and boats in the open ocean. The film is currently in the final stages of editing and is slated for release on August 14, 2025. It will showcase Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr. in unprecedented roles, highlighting their heroic qualities and commanding presence.
