India has yet again seen an unprecedented surge in Coronavirus cases and the government is trying its best to curb the spread of the deadly virus. While being tested for coronavirus has been a mandatory process, many celebrities have already been through the process multiple times. Taking to their social media handles, it seems they are also trying to spread awareness about the same.
Now, actor Vir Das has taken to his Twitter handle and appealed to celebrities to not post videos of their Covid-19 tests on social media, slamming that the clips are not ‘engaging content’.
“Celebrities, please stop posting videos of your covid tests. There's someone in a full PPE kit one foot away from you who does this 30 times a day, door to door. You're not the one struggling. Tilting your head back 30 degrees and managing not to sneeze is not engaging content,” read Vir Das’ tweet.
Later, responding to Vir’s tweet, a social media user opined that fans may get inspired to go get tested and that it was a good thing done by celebrities. Vir explained his stand and shared, “Hear me out. Been seeing test videos for months now. Encourage people to get the test for sure. But don't huff you just climbed a mountain. It's a test, that came to you, at home. It sucks. Supposed to. Less for you, more for the frontline worker drenched in sweat. Thank em.”
