Vikrant Massey to play Forensic Officer in Hindi remake of Malayalam thriller, Forensic

Coming from the television background, Vikrant Massey has successfully carved his place in the list of impeccable actors. From the television show Balika Vadhu to his latest 2020 release Ginny Weds Sunny, Vikrant’s journey is what dreams are made of - hard work, passion and determination. 

A number of projects have been announced recently starring Vikrant in the lead role including Red Chillies ‘Love Hostel’, the Hindi remake of 2017 Tamil action thriller, Maanagaram and 14 Phere with Kriti Kharbanda.

The latest addition to his pipeline is the Hindi remake of the 2020 Malayalam film, Forensic. Vikrant will be stepping into the shoes of Tovino Thomas who played the protagonist in the original film, and will be seen playing a forensic officer in the remake.

The remake is a part of Mini Flims’ Mansi Bagla’s acquisition of three super hit South Indian remakes. Speaking about this announcement, she shares: “In Hindi Films, we have always seen cop movies but have not seen a movie on a forensic officer who plays a vital role in solving any crime drama. Vikrant is a perfect fit for this role and I'm so glad to have him on board.”

An excited Vikrant says, “When I saw Forensic, I was immediately hooked onto it. It is an intelligent film that keeps you on tenterhooks. At the same time, it is an out-and-out entertainer. I am really looking forward to collaborating with Mini Films and I am glad to be leading the Hindi remake.”

The 2020 Malayalam film, Forensic, starred Tovino Thomas, Mamta Mohandas, Reba Monica John, Renji Panicker, Dhanesh Anand and Saiju Kurup in key roles and opened to rave reviews. We are looking forward to the Hindi remake of this crime thriller.
