Vicky Kaushal says 'Sam Bahadur' is not clashing with 'Animal'; he and Ranbir are playing for the 'same team'
Like is the case with so many clashes, one film is poised to have a bigger opening and has more buzz going for itself than the other, that is also the case with this one.

In a year that has witnessed a few big Bollywood clashes, December 2023 will be witnessing two more in the form of Animal vs Sam Bahadur and Dunki vs Salaar. While the latter is still far away, this week will witness Animal and Sam Bahadur locking heads against each other.
Like is the case with so many clashes, one film is poised to have a bigger opening and has more buzz going for itself than the other, that is also the case with this one. However, Sam Bahadur's leading man, Vicky Kaushal, has a different take on it being called a clash and recently went on to talk about it as well.
Kaushal took cricket as an analogy and mentioned that this isn't a clash, and both he and Ranbir Kapoor are playing for the same team, which is Hindi cinema. He also remarked when two opening batsmen are at the crease playing for the same team, they aren't playing against each other but together in the team's interest.
He further added that one player might hit fours and sixes, and the other player will be at the crease taking ones and twos, maintaining the strike, referring to the box office performance aspect. When asked which film plays what role, he answered that the audience will decide.
As known, it was Sam Bahadur who locked the release date of December 1 way earlier than Animal, where the latter actually was initially supposed to release back in August. When it comes to advance bookings so far, Animal is miles ahead of Sam Bahadur and has touted to have sold over 1 lakh tickets for the opening day already while Sam Bahadur has secured over 20,177 tickets on Day 1, amassing a collection of Rs 68.79 lakh prior to its release. The film sold 7,500 tickets on BookMyShow so far.
