Vicky Kaushal is one of the most celebrated names in the industry and the most desired actor from the new lot. A number of producers and directors are keen on working with him, and one of the finest scripts are coming his way.

The 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike earned him massive appreciation and popularity, for which the actor also won a National Award. After a spectacular 2019, Vicky is all set for an action-packed new year with two big banner films: Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship and Sardar Udham Singh.

During the recent round of interviews of Bhoot, Vicky opened up about his audition days, and how it was a period of struggle for him. It started when he was asked if he believes in superstitions and whether he followed any special tricks during his audition days. To which, the actor shared a hilarious tale of how he was hungry for work and was even ready to pay to get work.

Sharing his story, Vicky narrated:

First I used to get selected in top 2, and then the makers would ask me for budget, how much money would I charge for the project. And after I would tell my budget, they would say you're not selected, so I started to feel budget ke wajah se select nahi hue. From next time onwards I used to ask them for the budget. Woh budget batate the, I used to say okay I’ll do it. Tab bhi select nahi karte the. Then again next time, they would ask me for my budget, I would say I’ll do it for free. Tab bhi select nahi karte the. (laughs)Fir mai bolne laga ki mai paise dunga, mujhe kaam do, mai bhooka hu, mai kaam ka bhooka hu.
