Veteran actor Sameer Khakhar aka Khopri from TV show 'Nukkad' passes away

Veteran actor Sameer Khakhar, best known for his role as Khopri in the TV show Nukkad passed away today. Confirming the news to ETimes, Sameer's cousin, Ganesh Khakhar revealed that he passed away due to multiple organ failure.

He even mentioned that he was suffering from respiratory issues, then he went to sleep and went unconscious. The family called the doctor and he was admitted immediately. He was kept on ventilator but then gradually collapsed at 4:30 a.m. this morning. His heart was also not working properly. 

The actor's funeral is to be held today at 10:30 am. 

Sameer Khakhar has been part of popular shows like Nukkad, Manorajan, Circus, Naya Nukkad, Shrimaan Shrimati. He was last seen in Sanjivani.
