Veteran actor Derek Fowlds passes away at 82

The actor was popularly known for his work in The Basil Brush Show, which aired from 1969 to 1973, he was seen in studio films like Yes Minister and its sequel, and Yes Prime Minister.

Legendary veteran actor, Derek Fowlds, often known as Mr. Derek, has passed away at the age of 82. From the fame of The Basil Brush Show, which aired from 1969 to 1973, he was seen in studio films like Yes Minister and its sequel, and Yes Prime Minister. 

According to the sources of a leading International portal, he was suffering from pneumonia and was receiving treatment at the Royal United Hospital, where he took his last breath. 

Derek’s assistant Helen Bennett, in tears, was reported applauding the genius and inspiration Derek had brought in the lives of a lot of people around him including herself. She will miss him dearly as it became more and more evident from the conversations the media had with her. She adds, "He was the most beloved man to everybody who ever met him, he never had a bad word to say about anybody and he was so well respected, adored by everyone."

His footprints have influenced the older and newer generations and will continue to inspire many more to come. A lot of celebrities have come forward to pay condolences to the family members.
