Varun Dhawan & Samantha Ruth Prabhu unveil "Citadel: Honey Bunny"; Priyanka Chopra reacts

Amazon Prime Video treated fans to a sneak peek of its highly anticipated Indian spin-off of the popular series Citadel. Titled "Citadel: Honey Bunny," the series promises an electrifying blend of gritty spy action and heartwarming romance set against the backdrop of the vibrant 90s era. 

The official title was revealed through a captivating poster shared on Instagram, featuring lead actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in rugged avatars, brandishing firearms.

Accompanying the striking poster was a caption confirming the show's name: "Prime Video has confirmed the Indian series within the Citadel universe will be called Citadel: Honey Bunny."

Offering tantalizing hints about the narrative, the caption continued: "Citadel: Honey Bunny has a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90s. Honey Bunny is the Indian series within the Citadel universe."

Priyanka Chopra, who starred in the American counterpart of the series, shared her excitement for the Indian spin-off on her Instagram Stories, writing, "Cannot wait for this series to unravel another layer of Citadel!"

Directed by Raj and DK, written by the dynamic duo along with Sita Menon, and produced by D2R Films, "Citadel: Honey Bunny" boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saqib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher. Backed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo’s AGBO, the series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, with the release date yet to be announced.
