Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu to begin filming for Raj and DK's Citadel from July

Russo Brother's Citadel which is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, will star Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles. Raj and DK would be collaborating with Varun for the first time but they have already worked with Samantha in the project Family Man 2. 

A few days ago, Varun Dhawan and Samantha were spotted together with Raj and DK in Mumbai and now new updates about the highly anticipated show have surfaced. Varun and Samantha are set to begin filming for Citadel in July. If the pandemic does not pose any additional problems, Citadel's shoot will commence in July of this year. It will begin filming in Mumbai and then move to a few foreign sites.

The filmmakers plan to film in many places of Europe, but the precise sites will be determined after the recee, which are due to start soon. Meanwhile, casting for other secondary roles is underway, the latest reports suggest. 

The reports also stated that Varun Dhawan will go for a vigorous training session for the series. Varun will engage in some classic high-octane action stunts and will also be getting trained in martial arts for his role. The training and preparations will commence before the filming starts. 

Raj and DK are currently busy filming their upcoming web series Guns & Gulaabs. The show will star Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkummar Rao, and Adarsh Gourav in key roles. 

Varun has other projects in the pipeline. He will next be seen in Bhediya. The film also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead. He will soon commence filming Nitesh Tiwari's next.
