Varun Dhawan & Pooja Hegde to Shoot for David Dhawan’s 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' at THIS Location

Varun Dhawan is ready to charm the audience once again with his upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde was last seen in Deva with Shahid Kapoor. Now, both actors are set to collaborate for David Dhawan’s next comedy film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.

Varun and his father, filmmaker David Dhawan, are known for their successful comedy films. Their latest project, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, promises to bring back the signature fun and entertainment that David Dhawan is famous for. As per reports, Varun and Pooja will be heading to Rishikesh for a special shoot on March 21, 2025.

According to Pinkvilla that the duo will be involved in an exciting shoot sequence. “It would be a three-day schedule, and they will be filming a river rafting sequence,” said an insider. Along with Varun and Pooja, the film, produced by Ramesh Taurani, may also feature Mrunal Thakur in important roles.

The film’s title has already caught the attention of many. A source previously mentioned that David Dhawan has crafted a unique and fresh concept that aims to recreate the magic of his classic comedy films. “It’s a complete family entertainer with vibrant storytelling, humor, and music,” the insider added. The shooting began in Mumbai on July 10, 2024, featuring Varun, Maniesh Paul, and Kubbra Sait. The entire cast will join in as the production progresses.

Interestingly, the title Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is inspired by a popular line from the song Ishq Sona Hai in David Dhawan’s 90s hit Biwi No. 1, which starred Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen. With a mix of nostalgia and fresh energy, the film is expected to be a fun-filled ride for audiences.
