Urvashi Rautela Apologises to Saif Ali Khan for Insensitive Remarks, Offers Support

Urvashi Rautela recently issued a public apology to Saif Ali Khan after being criticized for flaunting her diamond-studded Rolex watch while condemning the attack on him. The incident, which occurred on January 16, 2025, involved an unknown assailant attacking Saif Ali Khan at his residence. During an interview, Urvashi was asked about the attack, but her response drew attention for the wrong reasons.

In her statement, Urvashi explained that she had been unaware of the gravity of the situation at the time. She expressed regret for her earlier behavior and acknowledged the criticism she faced for being "insensitive." The actress admitted that while discussing her excitement around the success of Daaku Maharaaj and the gifts she had received, she failed to consider the seriousness of the attack on Saif.

“I feel ashamed that I allowed myself to be consumed by the excitement surrounding Daaku Maharaaj and the gifts I was receiving, instead of pausing to acknowledge and understand what you are going through,” Urvashi continued. She assured Saif that now, after understanding the gravity of the situation, her thoughts were entirely with him.

The actress went on to say, “Please accept my sincerest apologies for being so ignorant and insensitive. Your grace, dignity, and resilience during such a challenging time are truly admirable, and I have nothing but immense respect for your strength.” She further extended her support, saying she would offer help in any way possible.

Earlier, during an interview with ANI, Urvashi had mentioned how her mother gifted her a diamond-studded Rolex, while her father gave her a mini watch. However, she was mocked for mentioning these gifts amidst the conversation about Saif's attack. “Whatever happened was very unfortunate,” she said, unaware of the reaction her comments would provoke.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an unidentified person with a sharp knife-like object, resulting in six injuries. He was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital by his wife Kareena Kapoor and their son, Taimur Ali Khan. The actor underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, with his family by his side.
