Uorfi Javed Defends Dhanashree Verma Amid Yuzvendra Chahal Divorce Speculations

Amid swirling rumours about cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma’s alleged divorce, Urfi Javed has come forward to defend women, especially in the context of breakups involving cricketers. The fashion influencer took to her Instagram to express her disapproval of how women are blamed for relationship failures, particularly in cases involving male celebrities.

Urfi shared a video on her Instagram stories, which claimed that Dhanashree was the reason behind Chahal's supposed misfortune. She strongly disagreed with the sentiment and pointed out a recurring pattern of unfair treatment towards women in such cases. She wrote, “Everytime a cricketer is breaking up or getting divorced, the woman is bashed left right and centre just because in our head our cricketer is our hero.” Urfi highlighted similar instances in the past, such as Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic's relationship, and even Anushka Sharma being blamed for Virat Kohli’s performance dips.

The rumours about Chahal and Dhanashree’s divorce began circulating after fans noticed the couple unfollowing each other on Instagram. Adding fuel to the speculation, Yuzvendra Chahal also removed all pictures featuring Dhanashree from his profile, while she kept a few pictures of him on hers. While neither of them has confirmed the divorce, Chahal addressed the situation by asking his followers to stop speculating about his personal life, which had caused distress for him and his family.

In her own statement, Dhanashree Verma expressed her frustration over the negative attention and character assassination she had been receiving. She emphasized that her silence was not a sign of weakness but a reflection of her strength. “I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity,” she said, urging people to focus on uplifting others rather than spreading negativity.
