TV anchor Nirosha commits suicide

Telugu television anchor Nirosha committed suicide by hanging herself at a hostel here on Wednesday, the police said. She was 23.

According to the police, Nirosha made a call before she hanged herself from the ceiling at a paying guest hostel here.

"We don't know the exact reason yet. She made a call before ending her life and we are trying to find out whose number it is," police said.

Police have registered a case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Nirosha's boyfriend Ritwik is based out of Canada, while her parents stay in Chittoor.

She was an anchor with Gemini Music channel.
