TV actors celebrate Karwa Chauth!

As people are rejoicing across the nation and celebrating the much loved and traditional festival of Karwa Chauth, our TV actors are religiously following this festival and keeping a fast for their respective husbands.

We got in touch with a few TV celebs who share their happiness in celebrating this festival together.

Kanika Maheshwari who is seen as Meenakshi i in Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum -

This Karwa Chauth is going to be very special for me as I am shifting to my new house today which is nearby to my set. I won't be fasting today just because my baby needs food but I will be performing the puja & all other rituals that a married woman does on Karwa Chauth. Bhabo (Neelu Vaghela) told me that not keep a fast so I am trying to figure out with Deepika (Deepika Singh) about performing the puja together. Its going to be Deepika's first Karwa Chauth. Karwa Chauth is a big and a very special day for Punjabis. Last year also my Karwa Chauth was very special as it fall on the day when the first episode of Nach Baliye season 6 went on-air so Ankur and I were just recalling our Nach Baliye days.

Ankur has really made my life easier. It was his decision to shift to another house which is nearby to my set. He is taking care of everything and I had to do nothing while shifting the house. I am shooting and he is taking care of everything in shifting to a new house. Its such a sweet gift from his side. What else one would expect from her partner!

Reena Kapoor who is seen as Bhawna in Zee TV's Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya -

I celebrate it by keeping fast for my husband and we spend maximum time together on this day. Even he keeps a fast for me and we break it together at night after drinking water from each other's hand. I want my husband to be happy in life and live very healthy life at the same time I don't know if it woks or not but I don't want to take any risk (smiles). The thing which I don't like in this or any occasion is dressing heavily as I want to be comfortable when I am not shooting.

Nandish Sandhu who is seen as Rehaan in Colors' Beintehaa

It feels good when your wife keeps a fast for you. Rashmi keeps a fast every year on Karwa Chaut and she doesn't eat the entire day and at night after drinking water from my hand she completes her fast. I remember once there was a time on Karwa Chauth when we were not together that time through a video conference at night she completed her fast.

Gurdeep Kohli who is seen in Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum -

Luckily I have an off tomorrow, so I am saved from getting tempted specially from water in this scorching heat. Today, my daughter too has a holiday so I will keep my day busy with her and Saturdays are anyways a family day for me. We will go for a film and then I will compel my husband Arjun Punj for shopping for Diwali and Karwa Chauth. I have thought of a gift which I want from my husband which is an Indian dress.
