In her upcoming project, Dhadak 2, backed by Karan Johar, Triptii will address caste discrimination. The film is a remake of the Tamil movie Pariyerum Perumal and stars Siddhant Chaturvedi. Rumors suggest Triptii might have been replaced by Sharvari Wagh in Anurag Basu's next film with Kartik Aaryan. Sharvari, who will feature in Alpha alongside Alia Bhatt, has not confirmed this speculation yet.
